Finally, a universal remote that combines all of the features I wanted into one nice, neat package. The programming was easy through the code entry for my new Sharp LCD TV as well as my other home theater devices. I love the built in find feature which works just like your cordless phone. With 3 kids, I can never find my other remotes. I also loved the charging stand and rechargeable batteries. The bright blue backlit display is a great feature.
Take a few minutes to use the learning feature to program the remote to work just like your original remote controls

With kids, you have to expect the remote to disappear from time to time. Not long ago, there was a possibility that three of these guys could go MIA. But today, it's only one, and it disappears less, because it's one less thing to keep track of. Plus it's super easy to use. The screen is easy on the eyes as well. Another thing to make life just a little bit easier.

Bulky, heavy, uncomfortable in the hand. The only thing it is good for is "basic" television options. I bought this because an original remote for our LG 42" plasma was thrashed. The touch buttons are small, very unattractive with flat neon-like graphics and not intuitive or descriptive for anything other than basic functions. The buttons are LOUD...and there does not appear to be a way to turn off the "beep" it makes everytime you touch a button for a function....very annoying. Good luck using it in bed if someone is sleeping next to you. It was easy to program online with the USB, but does not work with other functions of our TV like screen resolution ratio(16:2, wide, etc.). All of these things have to be accessed by pressing several buttons to get to the TV's onscreen menu, then you get stuck because the Lazboy "directional" pads of button to cursor your way through the TV's options does not work! Basically all it will do is turn the TV off and on, scroll through channels, volume, etc. I have not tried to use it for a DVD or cable box. It is not worth $40....highly disappointed. I wish I could send it back, but my wife tossed all the boxes that it came with...I will probably just throw it away...worst electronics purchase I have made in years.

This is the first time I have purchased a universal remote that was not from the dollar store and although this is a pretty remote I came to this realization after much time and persistance. Here are my reasons for not liking it:
*- It is not easy to program
*- beeps after every click (you can mute it but god luck figuring it out)
*- the online function is absolete and did not work for me (and appearently did not work for many others either. Look it up)
*- Although the changing screens are really cool looking, it is not very accurate on touch.
*- Only one color (blue), I personally wish there were more colors to the lighting
*- Basic directv hughes receiver is not a preprogramed feature. I had to teach my remote every button one by one

What I like:
*-The teach feature is very easy to understand and is very accurate. You can make any function and button di what ever you want it to do.
*- Combo buttons: There are combo buttons that will memorize multiple commands such as sequecnes, or channel numbers, etc. I use mine to turn up and turn down the bass
*- Changing screen buttons

This was not a terrible purchase for the $40 I paid but certainly not what I expected for the advertised regular price of $119

The La-z Boy LZ6200 remote is a good idea that falls short in the execution. The much-touted software is still in Beta, and the database of devices is a joke. I got this at a very good sale price, but the list price is in the range of some of the lower-end (and much superior) Harmony remotes from Logitech. If your MSRP is as high as the big boys', your features and performance had better match, and in this case they don't. I returned the remote and bought a Harmony 520 on sale from another vendor. Cost me about $10 more, but at least it has the codes for all my devices (including my new Insignia Blu Ray player) and has superb software that makes it easy to cusotmize. (It also stores all my settings on the Logitech web site, while the La-Z Boy has no ability to store your settings at all. If my Harmony dies and I get a replacement I can plug in the USB cable and download all my settings - including tweaks - into the new unit.)
