5.0 out of 5 stars A Useful and Detailed Apologetic Handbook
If anybody could bring many various evidences together to make a case that confirms the biblical text, Robert T. Boyd would seem to be a perfect scholar for the job. Multiple degrees and a prolific public speaker, the author has compiled a very useful collection of evidence demonstrating the authenticity of scripture. 3.0 out of 5 stars "Practically" useless ...
This book could have been useful, except for one (enormous) drawback. There is no documentation for any of its "facts." Oops! Kind of a large blunder, wouldn't you say? After I discovered this "fact" I found the book to be "practically" useless.

In all fairness, the book addresses some very interesting topics.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Useful and Detailed Apologetic Handbook, December 5, 2009
This review is from: Boyd's Handbook of Practical Apologetics (Paperback)
If anybody could bring many various evidences together to make a case that confirms the biblical text, Robert T. Boyd would seem to be a perfect scholar for the job. Multiple degrees and a prolific public speaker, the author has compiled a very useful collection of evidence demonstrating the authenticity of scripture. Additionally he amasses scientific proof that contravenes a godless worldview.

This volume contains
- Numerous apologetic charts and figures
- Many impressive pictures documenting the writer's claims (the pics alone make the book a keeper)
- Chapters on science, archeology, and Messianic prophecy.

This is a nontechnical reference guide that provides a massive amount of evidence and proof defending Christian theism and the Bible. On evidentialist a priori assumptions, Boyd delivers a 250 page work that substantiates and confirms the Biblical revelation.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ecellent book on apologetics, May 8, 1998

This book presents some excellent about archaeology, creation and the Genesis Flood. The information gives good support for those who believe in the Bible and shows how little evidence there is in the historical records for evolution.

1.0 out of 5 stars Creationism....Now? Yeah..and Earth is flat!, February 27, 2000
This review is from: Boyd's Handbook of Practical Apologetics (Paperback)
A manipulation with wider ordience, intended just to enrich authors pocket.Every provincial curator of naturalistic museum knows all contraarguments. Study Bible carefully and you will find enormous contradiction.Stage has been reached in our understanding of universe historical development that rejects this claims in toto.I am afraid that scienctist are too seclusive and ultraspecialist kind of people, and they are loosing ground to Creationists fictions. What more evidence do those people need in order to perceive reality as it is?
