Is there a coffee that is good, but gentle on my digestive system? Recently a friend asked that question, but I didn't know the answer. My friend contacted Boyers, who suggested that Italian roast was the most gentle on the stomach. They suggested that dark roasts are much better in this regard than lighter roasts. This was surprising to me, so I decided to try Italian roast.

I love my coffee, and after my friend Richard shared with me his knowledge gained from his time in a coffee plant, I have been trying different coffees. My goal is to find really great coffee that is not super expensive. This if the tenth coffee I have selected.

Boyers Italian Roast is advertised "for the serious coffee drinker". Boyers says it is "a very dark roasted robust Colombian coffee. I found that this coffee is a dark roast with great flavor. I enjoyed this coffee from the first cup. It is as advertised, rich, smooth and flavorful. It is strong but tastes mellow. It is not bitter. It is rich and exquisite.

From the first I noticed the difference on my stomach. After brewing several pots, I have decided that Boyers is right, this coffee is gentle on my system. In addition it is clearly one of the better coffees I have ever experienced. This is quality coffee.

I am a fan of Boyers French Roast. However Boyers Italian Roast is as good as French Roast and is the best of the coffees I have tried. Boyers Italian Roast is excellent coffee and I highly recommend it.

I was surprised. In the past the Italian Roast I have tried has had a slight bitter taste. this coffee was smooth, with no bitter taste. I will be purchasing more.
