About the Author

Jean Ure was born in Surrey and wrote her first novel when she was six years old. She spent her teenage years writing and had her first book published when she was sixteen -- an event that prompted her to leave school the following year to continue writing. Jean lives in a three-hundred-year old house in the centre of Croydon with her husband and their family of rescued dogs and cats.

From AudioFile

Cresta enjoys life with her girlfriend, Charlie, as they read Russian classics, share romantic sagas they each are writing, and have movie nights and sleep-overs. However, things gradually change when they meet two neat guys. Finty Williams introduces the girls and their families with great charm. An interesting and unusual twist shows how kids and parents sometimes reverse roles, with Williams doing justice to all ages. Listeners are cleverly projected four years into the future, revealing how things turned out and demonstrating how the girls evolved as they grew older. An excellent coming-of-age story for both girls and boys. S.G.B. © AudioFile 2005, Portland, Maine-- Copyright © AudioFile, Portland, Maine --This text refers to the Audio Cassette edition.
