5.0 out of 5 stars Ira Levin's best, March 8, 2008

This review is from: The Boys from Brazil (Hardcover)
This story is engrossing, and makes you think about "what if"?
Entirely plausible story, especially in this day of highly advanced
medical experiments.

5.0 out of 5 stars The thriller from Levin, August 28, 2009
By
C. Wagner "cecilkunkle" (On the banks of the Wabash far away) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This review is from: The Boys from Brazil (Hardcover)
Some reviewers complained this title lacked the excitement of modern thrillers. Who cares? Levin presents a compelling conspiracy more logical than most modern action media. And, no, I am not going to tell you what happens. But, most readers will be paranoid enough to accept the what-if hypothesis and occasionally look over their shoulder. And, while you're at it, watch out for Rosemary's baby. A fun, worthwhile, and even thoughtful read.

3.0 out of 5 stars INTERESTING BUT ??????????, October 12, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
It is hard to review this book. It is well written of course. Mr. Levin's books are always easy to read & keep your interest. In "Boys From Brazil" there is something lacking or maybe there is just too much evil. I have read so many holocaust, Nazi era, WWII, books & there is usually something in them that gives you a break from the nauseating evil that is the subject of the book. In this story of Dr. Mengele there isn't any let up - it is just pure evil all the way through.
