Fun at Harvard's Irish pub,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Boys Of The Lough (Audio CD)
Silly to sublime, Live at Passim serves the finest early Boys of the Lough. Aly Bain's fiddling's pure and complex. The singing will make you think you're home with Da in Erin. Pure, floating Irish mist is in Cathal McConnell's flute. At least 8 different All-Irelands won between these 5 Boys, who complement and contrast better than any Celtic band after 30 years. The live atmosphere of America's best Irish pub pulls out all traditional stops: drinking songs, love songs, hunting songs, everything there is to life is on this tape!
