Boys Pull Your Pants Up!!!" is a very unique and much needed work of art. Jewelene Banks proved once again, she is willing to listen to God speak to her. It is always in the message that one will understand the urgency for accountability.

Not only was the author able to send out a wake up call for our young men to pull up their pants, but she was also able to spiritually and psychologically reveal our self-value as children of God. In reading this book, the African American history is shared and lifted to a higher level of understanding for the less informed and informed. I strongly recommend this book to any organization or foundation seeking to encourage, and strengthen our men today.

You will never find in one book the resourceful information found in these pages; nor will you experience the realities of knowing how important it is to represent your people and most of all God with the greatest of elegance for we are heirs of the King of Kings destined for high positions and presence in this world and beyond. Jewelene Banks put her heart and soul into this work promising to make it well worth while for you to invest in this book.

It is time to pull our pants up in more ways than one and you will know exactly what I mean once "Boys Pull Your Pants Up!!!". Enjoy, be inspired, enlightened and strengthened.

Format: Paperback
Saggin' is an urban slang that is defined as wearing ones pants around the
hips so that they sag down and bunch up around the ankles leaving their
underwear and/or bare behind exposed. This has become the fashion trend for
many young entertainers, and as a result, our young black men have followed
suit. It had been a long held belief that this trend actually began in the U.
S. Penal System. In BOYS PULL YOU PANTS UP!!!, Jewelene Banks discusses this
trend, in reality, started with American Slavery as a way to identify certain
slaves and make it hard for others to escape. But, this fashion statement for
our young men has other underlining meanings.

Banks shows that young men who subscribe to this way of dress actually
disrespect themselves and their surroundings as well as their heritage. The
attitude that comes along with saggin' also garners other consequences like
racial profiling, black-on-black crime and anti-saggin' laws. Consequently,
this trend is actually acting to enslave our young men further by increasing
the African American prison population. A few of the reasons point
predominately to a lack of Black fathers in the home and/or adult male role
models that are readily available.

BOYS PULL YOUR PANTS UP!!! is not just a discussion on a this dislikeable
fashion phenomena of saggin', but it is more a dissection of the minds of young
men, why they do things they do and a call for responsible action. Banks
covers the question and suggests solutions. She offers inspiration and
encouragement through poems, scriptures and testimonies. Our young men
sometimes enter this world with the cards stacked against them; their outlet
is self-expression and disobedience.
