5.0 out of 5 stars Very informative, Made us realize the importance of our task
This book is a "must read" for parents of boys. My mother in law bought this book for herself and for me. She has already raised 3 boys so some of this she must have known already She and my father in law raised a boy-my husband into a man that has some great qualities and is very unique in his own way. 1.0 out of 5 stars Not a book, a tent revival with exclamation points!!!!!!
Ugh. I don't know where to start. It reads like an informercial. It doesn't really provide advice through serious reflection, it simply makes generalized statements about "boys being under attack for decades by society" and then neither backs up the statements or provides solutions. Rather, it punctuates niceties with exclamation points. Lots of them...

This book is a "must read" for parents of boys. My mother in law bought this book for herself and for me. She has already raised 3 boys so some of this she must have known already She and my father in law raised a boy-my husband into a man that has some great qualities and is very unique in his own way. This book tells you how to treat a boy and helps a new mother and father understand the importance of their task to raise a son into a strong, but sensitive caring man. I want all my friends with boys to read this.

I found this book to be helpful and insightful. After a slow start, Mr. Beausay gives practical advice in recognizing the changes that boys are going through and there inability to express how they feel at a given moment. I found the chapters directed to encouraging them most helpful. I highly recommend this work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Winning, June 30, 2008
The first third of the book only covers what the problem is.
The second third is very helpful. The nine clam openers. Change you expectations, create new atmospheres,
find your boys hot buttons, chill out, are a few hints to get things going. He talks about solid lines and dotted lines. He gives lots of ways to use and expand imagination. This is really a work book that will have to be studied to get something out of it. The three solutions is a nice idea also.
The last third of the book tries to help you handle the stress.
I rate this book as 5 stars mostly on the middle part of the book and a few good points in the last third of the book.
This book should be in your collection even if you do not have a boy or girl.

I was looking for a common sense book about raising a teenage boy.

I'm still looking.
