Cinderella
Based on the version collected and published by the 17th-century author Charles Perrault, this classic fairy tale is matched with the artwork of Nicoletta Ceccoli. Editorial Reviews

Review

This title is a perfect motivational tool for young men. It hits home about how you can do what you dream even at an early age if you work hard.
Barbara Allen, VOYA August 2012

"In an appealing, conversational style, McCann presents minibiographies of boys from all over the world, from ancient to contemporary, who prove that youth need not be a barrier to "rocking the world." (Kirkus Reviews) --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

I really enjoyed this book. I never liked history growing up and it might have been partly because my teachers were so boring and made history boring. But I really enjoyed this book. I learned things about these select men I had no clue. It was great to see such a wide variety of men with so many different backgrounds. While reading this book in the car one night, I found myself reading it out loud to my husband. I didn't know Stevie Wonder lost his eyesight as an newborn due to oxygen being pumped into his incubator. I didn't know King Tut became Pharaoh at the age of 9. This is worth the read.

Great book!! My 8 year old loves it, and I love that it has sparked his interest in how any boy at any age can do something important for this world. I highly recommend this book for any young boy.

We saw this book at a book fair at our kids school, and immediately fell in love with it. Nowadays it's a bit hard to fight the TV culture a lot of little children have been exposed to. We have a standard of basic TV and only family programming/movies, once in a while. We do play educational video games, but not even weekly. Our 6 year old met with 5 1/2 - 6 1/2 year olds who could not relate to anything else but TV programs we had not watch, and he fell like an outcast as he didn't even fell interested in learning the non-sense his peers were into. It caused him some dissonance and we decided to get this book and he felt empowered. We did decide to let him get informed about the "parent imposed pop-culture of 5 - 7 year old TV programs" and his response was clearly amusing to us: "Oh, well, that's it. I thought it was something else. Thanks, now that I know what they're talking about, can we read the next story on this book, I'd love to be in a book like this one day."
Thanks Michelle Roehm McCann for compiling this amazing work.
