AAHH, the vintage puppets of yester-year. The ventriloquist doll seems obsolete. Bozo has brought many smiles since he arrived on Santa's sleigh. The children have fun making Bozo talk...and they can see what a skill it is to make him talk. This toy is as fun as you make it. If it sits up on the shelf, it isn't too fun. Place it in the hands of a child....and you can see the magic!

However, the shoes don't really stay on his feet and the red-yarn hair falls out pretty easy. I enjoy to gaze at the doll, but I wouldn't recommend letting your child drag it around in the yard. The doll is not hollow. It has no LEVER to pull to make the mouth, eyes, or head move. The only thing that can move--on the head--is the mouth; and it is operated by a white pull string at the back of the neck. I have seen other versions of this doll to where the complete face is white. This however is not the version. It is just as the picture shows(the face halfway painted). All in all I love the doll. The pack--or case--it comes in is thin clear plastic. Enough to keep it safe though. If you THINK this is a CLASSIC doll and is worth the price then you're wrong(though I believe it is worth the price, it's just not an old doll). This doll is made FROM--in the image of--the classic ventriloquist dolls; the package however has a 1999-2001 label. Everything that is said to come with this product is there, including the small pamphlet on how to pronounce some of the letters. I only give this product 4 stars because of the hair that falls out easily. All in all, I love this doll.
