4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect solution, if your bra fits

2.0 out of 5 stars my bras dont fit
I wear Victoria's Secret 36B level 5 padded underwires, and the ball, although a good idea, is not the right shape to hold a bra. I had to jam mine in, thus bending the underwires to fit, and at $53 a pop, i'm not willing to risk my bras in this thing. Sorry Phan, I had to be truthful in my review...

4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect solution, if your bra fits, September 16, 2008

I saw a similar product in a catalog on an airplane. When I did some research online, it became clear that the original BraBall was a better product than the imitation that I had seen in the catalog. Now that it has been delivered, I still agree with that conclusion. It is heavy-duty plastic, with stainless steel hinges, and a sturdy lock. It would be perfect, except my bra doesn't fit. Keep in mind that the shape of an underwire gets wider, even within the same cup size, as the band size (chest size) increases. I have no doubt that some C cups will fit as advertised. However, my 40B Ambrielle push-up bra does not fit because the underwires are too wide. The BraBall is a perfect circle. If it were egg-shaped, my bra would fit. I have been losing weight recently, so I will keep the BraBall and hope that future bras will fit better. The interior width of the BraBall appears to be about 5.5 inches. Before buying, measure your underwire from outside edge to outside edge at its widest place to see if your bra will fit with little or no distortion.

4.0 out of 5 stars I love it, August 2, 2007

The original BraBall is excellent. I have two and love them. I have also used them for keeping my bras safe on a 3 week trip to Europe.

The only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I have a very small washer that makes them come open (I have to put the ball in the machine open, then close it while inside the machine). I bought a single one about 2 months ago, and found it kept coming open. (If you have a small machine, I recommend using an old bra the first time as a tester). I called the manufacturer who was amazing. She explained this happens very rarely, and immediately offered to send me a replacement. I sent it back but could not wait for the replacement before it was time my trip, so I asked her for a refund instead and bought two new BraBalls at a local store.

After using both and having the same problem, I realized it was just my tiny apartment sized, stacked washing machine that kept making them come open. Yet, because I LOOOOOVE molded bras and HATE washing them by hand, I decided to come up with a fix. To my surprise, it was easy!!! I simply use a bread or zip tie whenever I put them in the machine. Both hold up perfectly well and my BraBalls work exactly as intended. Because it is such a work saver, I truly love this product despite my custom fix. Because of the Braballs, I have been able to expand my bra collection from 3 ragged bras (what was the point of getting more to get them torn up in the first wash...)to several molded, brand name, sexy bras.

Thank you BraBall!!! You have made my life better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great, July 22, 2007

Work great! I bought several and have been using a few months now. These work well with my front close padded bras too- just need to close the clasp and put in according to the diagram face down. Things to watch for:

1. the clasp takes some getting used to- I had to look back at instructions and follow precisely to learn to get the thing open.

2.They are pretty big- barely fit past between the agitator and side of my large kenmore top loader. But can wash a bunch at a time.

3. Padded Bras really come out perfect if you do one at a time.

The BraBall is a GREAT product! I Hate washing my bras by hand, so I would throw them in my washing machine which would ruin them over time. This product is so simple and easy to use. I can even wash my more expensive gel bras in the washing machine now. I will be encouraging all my friends to buy a few.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bra ball YEAH! Bra baby NAY!, December 16, 2007
This review is from: BraBall - The Original Patented Bra Washing Ball. Made in the USA (Kitchen)
I did receive the product as promised and in good condition. My only concern is that to fit even a "c" cup into the ball, I have to also fit the wire in. I am concerned it will damage the wire but not enough to stop using it. I have to say I also purchased the bra baby and am not satisfied with it. The bra ball has much smaller holes that keep the straps and back of the bra inside the ball. The bra baby's holes are too big and allow the straps and such to come out. I do like the bra ball much better just wish it allowed for larger size cups. Thank you for the product. I would recommend it.
Thank you for letting me know that a bra ball for larger sizes is in production. I will purchase it when it comes out.

I have had one for 2 weeks and it works great so far. I have one of those vertical load washers with an agitator in the middle and need to force the ball to fit it in. The diameter of the ball is over 6" so make sure it will clear going inside your washer before you buy it! The ball is blue (as shown) but the manufacturer warns that with time it will fade to white. While this process is supposed to be safe for your laundry why not just make it in white right away?

My 38 C bra with underwire doesn't fit inside the ball very well. I wish the bra ball is a little larger.

overall i am very pleased with the BraBall--much, MUCH better than the imitations, by far. that said though, my 34-D bras really dont fit too well, mainly because of the underwire. i can manage to get them in, but some types of bras stick out between the seal, making the ball hard to open because the material is somewhat stuck. still, i use it every time, and it has yet to open in the wash as a few reviews have mentioned.

my suggestion for bigger-boobed women, go ahead and get this if you dont mind spending the money, but then write the BraBall people a letter and ask for them to start drawing up plans for size D and DD. our bras are expensive, we'd like to protect ours as well!

5.0 out of 5 stars finally a way to wash without destroying, May 15, 2007
This review is from: BraBall - The Original Patented Bra Washing Ball. Made in the USA (Kitchen)
After reading the negative reviews about the "bra baby", I decided on the braball. Keep in mind it is bigger than I expected, about 6" wide and barely fits through the top of the machine because of the agitator. However, it squeezes through and fits large size bras. Prolongs the life of your bra. Great concept.

5.0 out of 5 stars All i hoped it would be, June 25, 2007

reveria "reveria" (Sacramento, CA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: BraBall - The Original Patented Bra Washing Ball. Made in the USA (Kitchen)
Based on the previous reviews of this product and the bra baby, i took the plunge and bought this in hopes that i would find a good way of laudering my bras.

So far, i have laundered 4 bras, all in white and all times i have used bleach. I am very pleased with the results, the ball itself has no signs of wear. My only concern is that if someone is buying this product with a larger cup size than a C, I'm not sure how well this would work given that a C seems to be the max. Of note, all the bras i have attempted have the underwire.

As to the previous mention of getting it to fit into the washing machine i found, in my top loading machine, that if i following the downward curve of the machine's center, i can easily get it in and out of the washing machine, otherwise some force is necessary.

Using the delicate cycle, i have found that the bra dries very quickly after on a hanger (you are not supposed to place the ball into the drier) and the shape retention is awesome.

Am please with the purchase and would purchase another in a hearbeat.
