In the late 1950's, Dr. A.G. Jacobs, a practicing dentist and founder of Safe-T-Gard, began producing mouthguards using denture lining silicone materials. In the early 1960's, he pioneered boiling water mouthguards and was granted three patents for his innovations. Mouthguards in colors were also a Safe-T-Gard innovation. Today, Safe-T-Gard offers FDA approved colorant and latex free mouthguards in more styles and options than anyone else. Attention High School Wrestlers: The National Federation of State High School Associations has a new rules that applies to wrestlers who wear braces. The rule states, "Each contestant who has braces or has a special orthodontic device on his or her teeth, shall be required to wear a tooth and mouth protector."

My son has a narrow jaw and wears braces. We had put off certain sports because of the difficulty of finding a mouthguard that fit, stayed in and didn't gag him. With this mouthguard we finally found our solution. I highly recommend it for children with braces.

I bought these mouthguards for my son who has braces and wrestles.I had purchased a set(a different kind)
for 14.95 and they were terrible. They only came with the top and they fell out when he opened his mouth.These are great- they come with a top and a bottom and stay in. I bought one set and they worked so good I ordered a couple more.

Finally, a mouthguard for people woth braces! My son (a goalie) said these fit great (from what I could tell, they do indeed seem to fit nicely!) and aren't huge or anything like that to make them get in the way or fit uncomfortably. I'd buy this product again.
