OMG!! I'm retired Army (MALE) and I teared up while watching with my wife-sad that she had to die on the show due to her "real life" alcohol problems. I hope she get's the help she so desperately needs and has a support group. Too early to cast our vote on the "new cast members". But the reality is that we get transferred approximately every 3 years-so the show is true to Army life! Hope the show continues (with good scripts) as it brings back memories of our 23 years in the ARMY (my wife gets much credit as she was my ROCK during many tough deployments). Gotta love Army Wives!!!!

I spent 2 weeks watching seasons 1-6. Then I just HAD to go to Amazon to see the first 10 episodes of season 7, so I can start watching episodes as they air this Sunday! This series is absolutely addicting.

This season started with such promise: a new set of characters to reinvigorate the daily happenings in the army wives community. The season starts with the memorial service for a dearly loved lead character and cameo appearances from some of the other main characters from the preceding 6 seasons. This was sad but the new characters, including Brooke Shields, were beginning to establish a new regime.

Unfortunately, it was all cut too short after 13 episodes.

For those who have watched the first 6 seasons, it goes without saying you will watch this end to a great series. The speed with which they raced through some of the story lines and the premature cessation to the season left me feeling a little flat.

Loved Army Wives. Very upset that it ended. I think it depicted the Military family life as real as it could be.

I was really worried after Claudia Joy died that the show would really suffer but I'm finally starting to like all the new characters in this season.

I like the older cast better. they made it more real. Please bring back Roxie and Pamela. I am glad Denise is still on the show, but a big reunion will make the show even better.

I'm really going to miss this show and so sad that there isn't going to be anymore seasons. I hope that in the future that changes and they'll bring back the show for season 8. This show made me feel like I was a part of it, I felt like I knew everyone personally and it felt so real. I must say though that once I got to season 7 and they killed off Claudia Joy, at first it felt like the whole vibe changed and the show became something different. However, this last season was actually pretty good and emotionally driven, well actually all seasons were emotionally driven. I cried, I laughed, I got angry, I got happy, I got disappointed and I fell in love with every character. They're my family, always and forever. Now that it's over I feel empty :(

As far as the Army premise, I didn't think I would like this show and thought this show was going to talk about things I had no clue of, but what I love is learning the lifestyle of people who are in the army and the lifestyle their families had to leave behind. It was a great eye opener of how army really is, it was real and they didn't sugar coat anything to public, they put it all out there. I remember when I first played the first episode, I thought why would anyone want to be with someone that is constantly gone for years at a time? But it definitely makes a lot more sense now and I totally understand that every army men and women needs a rock back home to push through to complete their missions successfully and return home safe.

What I learned from this show is honor, family, loyalty, respect and above all else is the love that grows from every character especially the new ones. I specifically had a lot in common with Gloria, except the whole army thing.
