The faux leather exterior is somewhat difficult and was dirty when I received it. I don't know whether the product had dry-rot in storage but three of the chain loops were ripped off quite easily within minutes of using it. The fasteners were stuck and even trying to be extremely gentle did not help after the first one ripped off. Don't like it at all!

It is supposed to be leather, yet absolutely looks like vinyl. When I close the case, the jewelry does not stay in it's place, which is the one thing I was looking for. I will use it because I purchased it, but am not satisfied with it.
