This product does the trick. The price is great compared to the same product in the local retail outlets. It's great for phones and gps systems. I take it with me when I travel and it works great. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a mobile/gps holder.

This stays on most of the time, but if you accelerate or turn quickly, it slides off. I wound up putting a non-slip mat underneath it. It also only adjusts click-by-click, so you don't have fine-tune adjustment of the position.

I have the samsung blackjack II - and this is the PERFECT hold for it.
The sides are below the jack for power, something no other mount offered. So I can use the gps on my cell phone AND have it charging.
I have not tired any other products with it - but give it 5 stars for my cell phone!!!

I bought this for the Flip video recorder so I can mount it on my dash. It's a nice product that seems well made and stays put on the dashboard. I was surprised how heavy it is for the size. It holds the Flip but anything wider would not fit. You can tilt the bracket, move it sideways or remove it with your device attached. I like it and it works great for me.

The base is nice but the holder barely opens wide enough for me to get my small GPS in. The foam packs down to easily and the GPS can bounce out if you hit a big pothole. Also the ratchet mechanism sticks making it difficult to open.

so so nice to have a place to hold my iPhone. A charging cord can still fit in with this design, very nice. Glad I chose this one because it's not specific to any one device so I can use it for years to come no matter what new technology comes out.

I was anxious to get and use this holder for my Garmin nüvi 260W 4.3" GPS unit. But, after purchasing the UFM-200-BL, I found that it's holding bracket does not open wide enough to hold this GPS. It is obviously made for a smaller unit or maybe a cellphone held in the vertical position. I was able to force it open enough for a tentative hold but it was very tenuous and will probably break soon.

Also, the back of the bracket does not allow for the power cord to connect into the back of the GPS without undue stress which will probably eventually deform the connection point enough to damage it.

In addition, I was hoping that the bottom support would be subtle enough to conform to the shape of my dashboard (2002 Avalon), which was the main reason for purchasing this unit. I was hoping for a more "bean bag" type of base that would conform to whatever shaped surface it is placed upon. Unfortunately, this unit is too ridged to mold securely to my dashboard or any other dashboard that is not basically flat. It does, however, fit fairly well on the dashboard of my Tahoe, which is much larger and flatter.

I needed this to hold my MyTouch 4G and it definitely did the job. I was pleased with it. I took it on a trip and used it several times and it never slipped and it was really easy to use. Only complaint was that it was not that convenient to have the car charger attached to it while it was in the holder since the power port is located right where the holder arms grasp the phone. I had to turn it horizontally. It was not holding it perfectly, but it worked.

I bought this to use with a MyTouch 4G.
The phone fits, but is awkward to use when in the dock.
The other thing, it is hard to get the phone level because the mount and its base are too tight when rotated all the way down.

In all, it works, but I usually use my cup holder instead.

It can hold any device that fits between the brackets. I think it's one of the best you can get for that price. I use it for radar detector. My dashboard is leather and has an incline and the holder never slid even in sharp turns. Please note its "sole" is not soft/flexible enough to wrap around a dashboard with an incline of more than 30 degrees, but it should be pretty sturdy with natural positioning on an average dashboard.
