Editorial Reviews

Review

An eclectic assembly of perspectives from one of our more singular sockets, it may increase the readers bandwidth in quite unexpected ways. (William Gibson) I laughed out loud five times. (Bob Stanley)

This guy Kugelberg is an astoundingly good writer with comprehensive knowledge on a variety of subjects. He's Sheldon Cooper with a rawk and roll attitude.

I've finished reading this book last night. I read it in two days and it only took that long because i had to go to work and couldn't read it all at once. It's a great book and an amazing reading experience. I know Johan Kugelberg work from several zines / magazines, but this is different. In one book we read, learn and laugh (and laugh and laugh...). The chapter about the Record Fairs is very funny. Next year i must go to Utrecht, where i've never been. This is what Kugelberg does to you. It makes you want to go to a record store and buy music by bands like Death, Crass and many other previously unknown bands (to many of us anyway), it makes want to go to a Record Fair and eat unheated pizza like you're eating in a three Michelin star restaurant and it makes you want to meet people with strange names who collect Kim Wilde picture sleeves. And be nice to them...

The writing is incredibly good and funny. The knowledge is unique. This is a must-buy book. Oh, and the title is great too!
