It's good for you and it tastes GREAT!

I only use Braggs Liquid Aminos when anything calls for Soy Sauce - to me it has the better flavor and less than 1/2 the sodium of even Low Sodium Soy Sauce.
Amazon Customer
It adds a wonderful flavor to everything it is added to.

Bragg markets this product as "no salt added" and "Healthier than soy" while she herself advocates raw and natural food. This product is made by chemically processing "liquid soy protein" in a way that chemically creates table salt and strips glutamic acids from the soy proteins, creating MSG.

Naturally fermented soy sauce starts with the same base, is obviously fermented rather than chemically processed, does add salt but is able to use healthier salt than the chemically made salt in Bragg's, keeps the glutamic acids bonded to the protein, boasts the same assortment of amino acids, and doesn't cost any more than Bragg's.

In short, Bragg is hypocritically marketing a product with no advantages over a good-quality soy sauce.

I tried this stuff at a suggestion of a friend that does not know how to read labels. She told me how wonderful this stuff is and that it has a whole lot less sodium than soy sauce. My husband has high blood pressure so I am always looking for ways to reduce sodium in his diet. We were in the store together and in a rush so I put a bottle in my cart without reading the bottle.

As I said, my friend does not know how to read labels as a serving of Braggs is only 2.5 ml (one half of a teaspoon) and it has 160 mg of sodium. If you use it like soy sauce, you would probably use about a tablespoon (15 ml) which has 960 mg of sodium. A tablespoon of reduced sodium soy sauce has 530 mg of sodium - a little more than half of the same amount of Braggs and it tastes MUCH better. (If you want to do further math, 2.5 ml or 1/2 teaspoon of reduced sodium soy sauce contains 88.3 mg of sodium compared to the 160 mg in the same amount of Braggs)

I will stick to my reduced sodium soy sauce. It tastes better and it has MUCH less sodium than the same amount of this stuff. My husband and son won't touch this disgusting stuff. I used it for a while putting half this garbage on my food and half soy sauce, but I couldn't take it any longer. After sitting in my fridge for almost a year, I finally dumped it down the kitchen sink.

Was amazed at this product, read about it on the internet, but couldn't find it in my area. When I started on the HCG diet, I was afraid that food would get boring in a hurry, but Bragg Liquid Aminos Marinade really adds to flavors. It reminds me of a mixture of soy sauce, Worcestershire, and liquid smoke, all rolled into one. I put it on everything, and I mean everything, from salads to meats. The large size was perfect for me, since I shared with my daughter-in-law who also went through the diet with me. Between the two of us, we have really experimented with tastes, and this one was a hit. This also works well with the Miracle Noodles.

First time you try this product, you will understand that regular soy sauce and especially salt do not belong to your table anymore. It has much cleaner and lighter taste than soy sauce, and organic freshness is simply incredible comparing to the inorganic salt. I've forgotten when I used the either one of those...

We have used Bragg Liquid Aminos for years in our family. It is a great soy sauce substitute that is lower in sodium and unfermented. We ran out and while waiting for our order to arrive, we used a soy sauce in our scrambled tofu and grilled vegies and boy could we tell the difference. The scrambled tofu had a bitter taste and the grilled vegies had a fermented smell while in the electric skillet. I highly recommend this product and what a great deal buying it in a 3pack with the option of free shipping. You just can't beat it.

This fact was acknowledged by the FDA in the "FDA Backgrounder" dated August 31, 1995.

Under Section 403 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act it is deceptive and misleading to say "No MSG" or "No MSG added" on a processed food label that contains free glutamic acid. It is for this reason that the FDA forced Live Products, manufacturer of Bragg Liquid Aminos, to remove the words "No MSG" from the product's label."
