The olive oil is delicious--the green hue and viscosity you want to see in true, unadulterated olive oil and it actually smells and tastes of olives! This is the real deal, all the way around.
I wished it came in a dark bottle, but mine is always stored in a dark cupboard, so for me it is a minor issue. I am hoping that Bragg's does make the move to package their oil in a darker bottle. I have given this feedback to them directly, and if you like this oil, please do the same.
I highly recommend this oil, partly because it comes from Greece, and I am partial to olive oils from Greece, but mostly because it is superb.
Because of all the things I have read about cooking with EVOO, I use other fats such as coconut oil, grass-fed butter or ghee and avocado oil. However, I am sharing a link to an article about cooking with EVOO from Health Impact News. The article is titled: "Myth Buster: Olive Oil is One of the Safest Oils for Frying and Cooking" Here is the link to the article if you're interested - http://bit.ly/evoocooking. They also have an excellent article on how to select a pure, quality olive oil. I also recommend subscribing to Health Impact News newsletter. Very informative about all issues that impact our food and health.
Product is not packed in a tinted glass bottle, but UV rays, which distroy olive oil (and wine) cant pass
through glass anyway, so it's a moot point.
This is not as good as California Olive Ranch, but it's a little cheaper.
It does not have a press date on the bottle, but does have a "best when used before" date, which is very
misleading, since you have no way of knowing how old the oil was BEFORE they bottled it.
This oil is the real deal though, and is approved (according to the label) by olive oil association and meets
their standard for EVOO.
I use this oil for every day cooking (use only low to medium heat), but when I want a more flavorful oil, for dipping
or cold dishes, I use California Olive Ranch, or when I can afford it, McEvoy Ranch, which is probably the very
best EVOO available in the US.
If you want to know what REAL EVOO tastes like, Bragg's is a good introduction.

This by far is the best "true organic" olive oil. U know exactly where the olives are sourced from. Its so organic that the bottles actually has pieces of olives in it. Read morePublished 21 days ago by Tom A.
