This review is from: Brahms: Hungarian Dances Nos. 1-21 (Audio CD)
A great bargain! Cesare Cantieri conducts the London Festival Orchestra in spirited renditions of Brahms' Hungarian Dances. They sound great in DDD & the album is loads of fun. Brahms arranged three, Dvorak another five, & the remainder by personages named Juon, Schmaling, Gal & Parlow. You'll still want the four-handed piano versions, too. Point Classics has one of the more interesting budget catalogues. Just go to Classical search, enter "Point Classics," & you'll get a list of over 100 CDs, all under three bucks. |
