...but holy cow! Wait till you hear them together! Exquisite miniatures by a dream team quartet, two great pianists, and nary a false move by anyone involved. Sounds almost too flawless to be a live performance. It may be criminal to say, but I think I prefer these songs in a small ensemble format over the usual chorus--they seem more precise and intimate at once. Too bad track 41 isn't available to sample here: Bonney and von Otter sound just toppingly beautiful in that one.
