In this multichannel SACD of the Brahms and Stravinsky concerti, Hilary Hahn shows why she's the most promising new talent on the classical circuit. Her youthful energy and enthusiasm coupled with a musical maturity beyond her years makes this recording radiate. The sound of the Sony Classics SACD is amazing -- with a good center speaker, it's as though Hahn is standing in your listening room performing just for you. Fifty years from now, if she keeps on track, we'll be speaking of Hahn in the same class as Stern, Perlman, and other violin masters. GET THIS RECORDING NOW!!!

I wonder how this fantastic concerto is not more popular. maybe it is the odd form. I find it wonderful, especially the third movement. And what a performance! Out of this world. Hillary Hahn is an angel. The recording is a bit harsh on the treble, but I would recommend it anyway. Tha Brahms doesn't sound too distinct to me.
