Smooth and Elegant, May 31, 2005

How does she do it? Idil Biret somehow has amassed recordings of an astonishing amount of piano music over time and yet doesn't loose any passion or feeling through the multitude of her repertoire. She continues to amaze with interpretations like the Waltz in A flat (Op. 39, #15, track 19). Her work with Chopin is remarkable, and her ear lends itself well to Brahms as well. I highly recommend this (or any) Biret recording!
