Product Description

From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"

Two activities taken from earlier Edmark programs- Millie's Math House and Bailey's Book H ouse- provide preschoolers with a light introduction to letters and numbers. In the Letter Machine , kids simply press a letter key to see a related animation. For instance, selecting the letter "L " triggers an animated clip of lizards loving lions. With the Number Machine, kids push number but tons on a cash register to see the same number of animals or objects pop out of the register drawe r. For both activities, children can toggle to a question and answer mode that quizzes them on the ir letter and number skills with requests like "Find the letter L." While limited in terms of brea dth of content, this inexpensive program offers valuable exposure to early math and reading concep ts.
Teaches: early reading, early math, identifying letters and numbers
Age Range: 3-5 Copyright © 2000 Children's Software Revue

3.0 out of 5 stars Very mediocre, January 1, 2001
This review is from: Brain Bytes ABC's 123's Ages 3-5 (CD-ROM)
This inexpensive learning tool for children is extremely unembellished and unexciting. It is simple to use and might be a good tool for toddlers as young as two and a half. My son is three and has numerous better abc software applications. This one didn't hold his attention for very long. It has no music and very meager graphics.

This might be a good first abc program for a young toddler. Though the recommended age range is 3-5 years, I would say it is better for 2 1/2 to 4. You get what you pay for. This software doesn't cost much and it doesn't offer much.
