3.0 out of 5 stars A fun read.., October 14, 2009

This book can be described as Total Recall without the futuristic sci-fi element, even though it predates Total Recall by about year. The book centers around criminal psychologist Adam Reynolds.. or rather, the mind of Adam Reynolds being implanted in a stranger's body. Throughout the story, Adam struggles to find his identity with the help of woman he managed to remember from deep within his conscious. As the events unfold rather dangerously, so does his mind as he tries puts the pieces of the deadly puzzle together.

The book is very well written although one would find it hard to believe that a man would run off and with a bar dancer after finding his wife and friends mysteriously murdered. The bittersweet ending was also a good touch.

In my opinion, this book was barely mediocare. While the premise was fairly interesting, the book itself used many cliches and was very predictable when it wasn't being as clear as mud. It wasn't a bad book, and it wasn't a book I would say to someone "never read this book!" but I wouldn't recommend it. If someone was to ask me "please comment on this book" my reply would be something like "unremarkable".
