"The cumulative training effect is so profound, you'll experience an evolutionary leap in your consciousness." It's a bold claim. But after using this CD, I'm a believer!!! I followed the instructions and listened to this CD for 30-60 minutes everyday for 6 weeks(and continue to do so). Since then, I've noticed my memory and cognitive skills have improved. It's hard to explain, but I just think more effectively now. I have fewer mental blocks and I don't get overwelmed when taking in new complex information. This CD may not make you a genius, but you'll notice that your brain will operate more consistently at it's full potential. If you go to Brain.com, you can read more about the brain wave technology it uses to stimulate the different functions of your brain. The best part is that you don't have to do puzzles and exercises for this to work. You just pop on the headphones and relax. I wouldn't even try to put a price on increasing my intellectual capacity, but it's certainly been worth $15 many times over.

I'm not sure if it makes my mind work better, but this kind of "white noise" music really really really helps me get to sleep, and when I wake up, I feel truly rested and clear-headed.

I have been writing an English paper and was feeling very tense and mentally stumped. I put the headset on as instructed, and was able to work on my paper three hours straight stress free, focused, and consequently, creative.

I really liked this tape alot!I have MANY of Kelly Howell's tapes.I discovered them from my mom and my brother last year!I've been a fan of her tapes for a year now! They DO work and I cant wait to see what tapes she makes in the future! They help me relax after a hard day at work or a hard work out!They are worth the money!:) You wont be dissapointed!

There are two versions of this cd called Brain Power by Kelly Howell but you wouldn't know which version you are buying because they both have the same ISB numbers and claim to be spoken free:
One version has two identical tracks, and it is free from spoken words. The music is pleasant enough and relaxing.

The other version has two different tracks and claims it is free from spoken words but it is not: the first track is music with an introduction to the programme (which is unnecessary and annoying to listen to each time since the information is on the cover anyway). The second track is supposedly to have ambient sound but the quality of the sound is a bit annoying & not easy to listen to.

Disappointingly the producer is not helpful to tell you which version you are buying. My emails to the producer for clarification were never answered to (a friend even send a letter to Kelly Howell, but didn't receive any response. (and Amazon sellers wouldn't know specially if they are selling it new & wrapped).

One star, because you can't be sure what version the reviews are about and what version you are ordering.

In moments of procrastination, I just put this on and get to work. It's especially effective behind the computer screen. I alternate this with Increase Creativity (from Kelly Howell also).

I bought this CD with Deep Learning by the same author and it has been very beneficial. I haven't listened to this CD as much as Deep Learning and do not quite know the difference between the two. I am not an expert of this phenomena, so, the background music between the Brain Power and Deep Learning sounds quite similar. For $13 and some change, if my capacity to learn improve by 1%, then, it is worth my investment. I gave a 4 out of 5 because of my lack of knowledge in the music.

all i can say is wow. the kind of attention i get when i listen to this cd...is almost a crime. i am super focused!!! and everything i learn, i understand!!! wow!

Brain Power helps me concentrate and meditate and it calms me when I need it and stimulates me when I need it. I feel better from listening. Thanks to Kelly Howell!

I have many subliminal cd's and this one is special. No annoying sounds or long speech about it in the beginning. My very picky sister also really liked it. Glad I bought it!
