I think these are a great tool for any family who wants to spend learning time with their child.

Most of the questions were things that he knew or could figure out fairly easily.

I happened to stumble across Brain Quest for Threes and bought it because it's compact packaging looked convenient. I put in my car to pull out whenever I brought my 3 and 5 year olds to appointments or weekends away. I was thrilled to discover that my kids really enjoyed playing the game and I could easily play with them both by taking turns. There are so many questions that the cards always seem new. My 5 year old often pulls it out to play by herself and the easy to understand answer cards allow her to do so. I have purchased other Brain Quest products for the subsquent age groups.

I got this for my daughter when she was 2 1/2 and she had a lot of success with the questions. She often amazes me with the things that she does know, and takes great pleasure in these "surprises". I like this product because it covers so many different areas - letter identification, colors, numbers, and everyday knowledge. Her 7 year old sister also enjoys "quizzing" her, and they pass quite a bit of time this way on car trips. Now they can use their Brain Quest together. I do several pages for one while the other listens, then we switch. I started off with Brain Quest Toddler and plan to use them all as my children grow.

Our very-verbal two year-old LOVES this deck of questions, and she'll continue to get a lot of use out of it since there are many she can't yet answer. Very practical things that all kids should know are presented here.

These are really well made, sturdy and good size. We have bought the set for 2-3 3-4 and 4-5 along with the pre-k brain quest book. Our soon to be 3 year old has been in the infant and toddler program for 18 months as he was severely delayed on speech and showed signs of being high functioning autistic. We recently moved and he was evaluated to begin pre-school with the special education department and just failed on their number system but was well below average. He is still to be diagnosed by the autism department but we wanted to help him get a jump start either way. He totally loves these cards and is so excited to do the work book for his schooling each day. He has 2 older siblings in 1st grade and kindergarten so him getting his own school work is wonderful for him and so far he has worked threw them and amazed us at how quickly he is picking them all up. these cards are also great for taking out with you and giving them something interesting to do whilst out. The only thing I would suggest is keep the cards for school not play, the rivet that joins them together I could definitely see coming off or breaking if played with too harshly.

We just bought these for my three going on four year old and he's really enjoyed them so far. He can easily answer a lot of the questions but we've also discussed the pictures and I was able to use them as a teaching tool. Although some of the questions seem pretty easy, it's good that he gets to answer them correctly and encourages him to keep going. He thinks of it as a game and has fun answering the questions and looking at the pictures. All in all, it was a good buy and I will likely continue buying these products as he grows older.

The concept is great! My 7-your-old son, then in 1st grade, got a set like this for 2nd - 3rd grade. Many questions were challenging (particularly math, since they hadn't started multiplication yet, and the questions were way above what he could figure out), but he LOVED the set. He went over it a million times, and learned so much along the way. He's still using it from time to time, but his little 3-year-old sister was facinated with the concept of the flipping cards, so he decided to give one to her as a Christmass present from himself. He was so excited about reading the assignments from the cards to his sister!

The set is definitely mislabeled for age. The questions are of the type "which one of these three baloons is red?", "which one of these three (or four) animals is standing?" and "how many spoons there are (for a table laid out for two)?" Perfect for 2 year olds - but 3??? I'm wirting this review on a way to order a BrainQuest set for 4-5 year olds, so I would wholeheartedly recommend the concept, just do get one for the next age group.
