Okay, it's a straight-to-video bad movie. However, it's a fun romp and (as others have said) a potential cult classic. Yes, it's contrived and tired, but not every movie needs to be "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" excellent. Remember: Performing arts are about entertaining your audience and taking the audience on a ride. Sometimes the best movies are those about which you don't have to think to hard. Mindless comedy/action/badly-executed movies are exactly what you need to get through the day. They have a place in this world. Teri Hatcher was absolutely charming, kind, supportive, and wonderful. Andrew Dice Clay was sleazy, manipulative, and basically a dirty old man at a young age. He collected money from extras on the set to sit on his lap and take pictures with him. He promised these women that he could make them a star. These are the same women whom were sent home from our scene because they were dressed too provocatively for the movie. Keep in mind that our scene was near the beginning of the movie, set in a nightclub and shot at the Starry Night/Roseland Theatre.

I had a wonderful experience working on this film (as did many of my colleagues), so I recommend this movie partially on that experience. However, I also recommend this film as a wonderful, mindless comedy.

My one caveat would be that I'm sure ADC is getting some sort of royalties from this movie, and I don't care to put one more dollar in his pocket. If nothing else, purchase this movie and have a great "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" evening. Cheers!

This is a terribly if not deliberately schlocky collection of gags, most of which are tiresome. However, both Hatcher and Clay appeared to have fun with it, so I did as well. Along with TANGO AND CASH, the idea here is to relax and enjoy the good humor, as if it were some thrown together skit between friends with relatively high production values. Some people like to watch Ed Wood movies because "they're so bad they're good," having a good time by feeling superior to the content. However, I think films where the participants don't worry about being bad and simply have fun telling a story (e.g. the theme in BE KIND, REWIND) are much more enjoyable while rewarding an absence of snobbery towards the content.
