5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Product
I find this product to be a fantastic alternative to the energy drinks I usually consume to get over the mid day hump. While it will not facilitate all nighters, it enhances my mood and increases my ability to focus. It has a very clean taste with non of that chemically after taste you experience with Red Bull, Rockstar, Monster, or even VitaminEnergy. I truly feel...

3.0 out of 5 stars It's decent, but expensive........
I bought a case and drank one every afternoon at work. I am not sure if it was the placebo effect, but it seemed to give me a little afternoon lift whereas I would normally be dragging. The taste is probably not for everyone. I gave one to a coworker and she gagged. I drink it over lots of ice and find it to be tasty, albeit probably an acquired taste. In any event, it...

5.0 out of 5 stars Sceptic won over, October 13, 2008
This review is from: Brain Toniq, the Non-caffeinated Think Drink (Misc.)

You are receiving this from the world's biggest skeptic. My 13-year-old son convinced me to buy four of your Brain Toniq drinks at Wholefoods even though I told him it was a big joke to think a drink could make you focus any clearer or have any positive effect whatsoever. We each drank one of your drinks around 2:30 pm. I couldn not believe it--I felt clear headed, in a great mood all afternoon and evening. I felt "sharp" in two business meetings that afternoon and actually forgot I had taken one of the drinks. My 17-year-old son commented about my great mood and why was I so happy? It was then that it dawned on me that my day was no different than most, except for the Brain Toniq drink. My skeptism kicked in again. The drink could not be responsible for how I felt.

So the next day I took another one of the drinks and again, same great mood, same happy feeling, same sharpness of thought and my entire family noticed. Wow! If anyone thinks this is just another marketing ploy or scam to get people to buy some kind of energy drink, forget it...this is the REAL deal. You have my permission to let anyone read my email to you or even inquire with me! Finally a company that actually delivers on their promise. Thank you so much! (By the way, we went back and cleaned out Wholefood's inventory, HA!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Seems to prevent brain fog, but nothing spectacular, August 9, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Brain Toniq, the Non-caffeinated Think Drink (Misc.)
I've been on the Brain Toniq (1 can a day) for 2 months, with a pause of 1 week while traveling. My diet is healthy (exclusively from Trader Joe's or Whole Foods), includes chicken meat and seafood, but no beef, pork, trans fats, sodas, chips or junk food. Here's what I noticed since I've been on Brain Toniq:

* In the very first weeks, I noticed random memory improvement. However, that was not remarkable, and not constant. If I suddenly had a significant memory boost, I would've noticed.

* In the first three weeks, I observed less brain fog during the afternoon.

* In the following month, my daily health log showed no brain fog.

The latter is an improvement that I can attribute to Brain Toniq. At some point in the future I plan to go off Brain Toniq for two weeks and see if the brain fog comes back.

UPDATE (2 years later): I haven't had brain fog in 6 months, without using Brain Toniq or anything equivalent really. It turned out that the brain fog was caused by being assigned dreadful projects at work, and trying not to procrastinate on them, despite not believing in their goals.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Students!, August 17, 2011

I love this stuff! Within 5 minutes I'm better able to focus on the task at hand and the effect lasts for hours. I'm an engineering student and this is just what I've been looking for to help me through those tough problem sets. I'll update after I've been drinking this for a while and can comment on long term effectiveness. Tastes great too!

UPDATE: I stopped buying this because it's too expensive. Maybe I'll try it again when I have a real job :(

I did not buy a case of this, I bought a couple at Sunflower Markets to try out.
In spite of what I've read others say, it tastes good. However, it's not like your buying this for something tasty. It helps me when I drink this, as I have a brain fog that tides away for the most part when I drink this. I've stopped and it slowly comes back. That being said, for $2.00-$2.50/daily, a little expensive for 8.4 oz. (1 Cup)
At sunflower markets, it was 2 for 5.00, which is where I got the $2.50 price tag.

You figure 1 month being 30 days, $2 would be $60. Then again, I guess some people do smoke cigarettes at around $50/carton, so it's not a far stretch for some...

4.0 out of 5 stars It's good stuff, June 14, 2011
This review is from: Brain Toniq, the Non-caffeinated Think Drink (Misc.)
Not a miracle but, in my experience there is no such thing when it comes to these drinks. I will say that does seem to give a mental lift and I really like the taste, it's different.

I'd probably buy it a lot more often if it cost less. I wouldn't mind drinking one of these every day but even with free shipping $44 is not much cheaper than the average $2 a can it usually goes for at the store. Pricey for 8.4 ounces.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing fake, January 4, 2012
This review is from: Brain Toniq, the Non-caffeinated Think Drink (Misc.)
I bought a can of this at Whole Foods for $2.69 on a whim, and my afternoon was spent remarkably focused and productive. I didnt even get to participate in our office daily whine-fest about being tired.
I thought it might have been a fluke, so I bought another can and felt the same way, so I bought a case of it from here.

It really does work for me, I have ADHD badly and by 2:30 in the afternoon I'm miserable and bored. I find myself getting more done and thusly sleeping better at night. It might be a placebo because its so expensive and my mind is justifying spending the money, but I'd say it is worth a try for anyone. It doesnt taste absolutely awful, which is a plus.

4.0 out of 5 stars Is it safe to drink Blue Green Algae?, August 26, 2011
This review is from: Brain Toniq, the Non-caffeinated Think Drink (Misc.)
Blue Green Algae is known to cause health issues when you swim in lakes where it is growing. so I'm surprised to see it as an ingredient.

[...]
Consuming water containing high levels of
blue-green algal toxins has been associated
with effects on the liver and on the nervous
system in laboratory animals, pets, livestock
and people. Livestock and pet deaths have
occurred when animals consumed very
large amounts of accumulated algal scum
from along shorelines.
