Brainwashed for War - Programmed to Kill: The Military-Industrial-Media Complex Propaganda behind the Cold War, Vietnam War & War on Terrorism

I was surprised, and delighted, to learn that this, the second of Matthias Chang's books on the current world situation, was available from Amazon. For those who have read "Future Fastforward", I would say that this is an excellent sequel. In the event that you have not read the first book, "Brainwashed for War" would be still be efficacious, although perhaps it is best to read the books in order.

On first beginning to learn of this author, I had to ask the question,

"Who is Matthias Chang?"

Really, it's not the sort of name those of us in the West see every day. Allow me to introduce him. Matthias Chang is a barrister from Malaysia, who once held a senior positon in the Malaysian government, and who now stands out as a beacon of truth. He is a Chinese Catholic, living in a Muslim nation, who has already done much of the terribly important work to bridge the gap between Islam and Christianty. Matthias, of course, was the disciple who replaced Judas Iscariot, the betrayer. And Brother Matthias, some may remember, was the kindly monk who taught baseball to one George Herman Ruth. So, we might well say that Matthias Chang is the Babe Ruth of Islamic Christian rapprochement.

Taken together, I would say that Chang's two books provide a very solid grounding for the serious student of modern world politics. They present in significant detail the perils of the Zionist Anglo-American war cabal, and what must be done to stop it. And Chang quite rightly avers that the most important first step is for Muslims, Christians, and freedom loving people everywhere to bind themselves together, such that we can know justice and love mercy while yet there is time.

This is a terribly important book. A minor criticism that I must express is that there are really quite a few typographical and grammatical errors. But these, frequent though they are, do not detract from the overwhelming importance of the book. Read it. And be both informed, and enriched. Take care and God bless.

This is an extraordinary book indeed. Chang does an excellent job of piecing together a true history of the 20th century, the vile propaganda warfare, mind-control and brainwashing operations conducted by agents of the ruling class in order to turn America into a nation of war junkies. He includes the actual official documents that were used to determine our foreign and domestic policies, the military-industrial-media complex propaganda behind the Cold War, the Vietnam War and the War on Terrorism. It turns out that the entire 20th century was nothing but one big lie, perpetrated at the public's expense, and for the benefit of the ruling class. I instinctively knew this already, but this book makes it all very clear. I've read dozens of book concerning this subject, but in my opinion this is the best.

I have been slow to get to this book, which actually turned out to be helpful, because in the intervening time I have read a large number of other books from more conventional sources, every single one of which support's this author's brilliant and objective analysis.

There is a large body of literature on the military-industrial complex, the excessive influence of Israel on US national security policy, on the evils that is manufactured and "sold" by the US "mainstream" media ("mainstream" means bought and paid for, corrupt, untrustworthy), the delusional and nakedly amoral views of Dick Cheney and his totally unethical band of neoconservatives, the privatization of war, and so on.

Having lived in Singapore from 1967-1970, with a father who remained in residence until just a couple of years ago, I have had the benefit of travel within Malaysia, twice shooting the Timberling Jungle rapids on a bamboo raft built after days of hiking to the headwaterws, and I insert this personal backgrouind to emphasize my view, grounded in personal experience, that Malaysia and Singapore and Indonesia have the potential to become a new center of gravity fully co-equal to China and Japan, and an esential bridge between Muslims and others; between Asia and the West; between the lesser developed and the most developed (American no longer falls into the latter category).

I honr this author with my highest compliment: he reminds me of Lee Kuan Yew. This is a man whose mind and spirit are fully developed, whose wisdom we can all embrace.

If I had one small criticism, it is that he places too much credence on the effectiveness of secret services. In fact, it is the combination of secret banking and secret politics that creates the myths and the false enemies. It is the newspapers that turn down fully paid $100,000 cash offers for advertisements against the Iraq war (for example), not the expenditure of secret funds to publish lies. With that one caveat, I observe with all sincereity that this author shares with us a gigantic intellect that will be of lasting value to all of us who respect the integrity of the individual Asian nations and peoples, and who want peace and prosperity instead of war and poverty.
