Just nabbed these for 13 bucks off of amazon a few days ago. So far right out of the box I got the one with microphone for use with my iPhone. DEFINITELY USE the Comply tips it comes with. fit perfectly for me and i normally use the M size tips for in ear buds. I listened to them for about an hour, stopped noticing that they were there. UNLIKE the skullcandy micd and inkd, the chord doesnt make too much noise like the skullcandy does. however it does feel very good and light. ESPECIALLY since it comes with the shirt / collar clip.

I played some hip hop mixes and cranked up the volume on the iphone. about 2-3 presses of volume up until max the right ear started immediately crackling and was unable to hear anything musical until dropped volume down.
I assume the variance in quality / volume is because these are not broken in yet.

however it started to hurt my ears since it was so loud anyway.

overall these are pretty AWESOME for the value / performance. will come back in a few weeks after I have used these on a daily basis and broken them in.

I WOULD DEFINITELY recommend this to anyone looking for a pair of buds. definitely something i would buy again!
for the price AMAZING. skullcandy inkd cant even touch this.

The sound quality is amazing. I've never been fond of in ear headphones because they have the tendency to fall out very easily but these are L-shaped in a way that stays in and blocks out ambient noise very comfortably.

The reason for a 3 star instead of a 5 star is that the control on the cord is complete garbage (or at least mine is). Pushing the button once to pause skips the song instead of pausing it. On the rare occasion the push does pause the track, the next push to resume will just skip it anyway. Seeing as it's the main reason I bought them in the first place, I was extremely disappointed.

Always hesitant about buying sub $15 ear buds but these were actually pretty good. The sound is good and the fit (couple different sizes) was pretty good as well. The only thing I wish is that the cord was a little longer. Another couple inches and I wouldn't feel a tug if my phone is in my pocket. Another 4 or so and you could put the cord behind your back and down (nice so you don't have that getting in the way when typing or working on something). I've used it a few times for phone calls and people say it sounds clear and decent volume. All in all for under $15 pair of ear buds I'd buy it again. The do not block out sound very well for those who are looking for isolation buds however.

Impressive IEMs, doubly so when factoring in their cost. I just received my set of Brainwavz Betas, and after 3 days of break in, I'm most impressed. First, they are the only IEMs I own which took on a dramatically different sound signature after break-in; detail improved noticeably, and bass bloat really calmed down. I have several nice sets of IEMs, including Panasonic Philips SHE9620s, and Meelectronics M9s and R12s. A few sound observations:
- no contest, use the Comply foam tips included, and call it a day. The sound signature is better than every other included set, plus any other I compared it to, and they enhanced both comfort and ear stability without creating the notorious "pressure seal" which makes IEMs uncomfortable and sonically dangerous (these will go loud!).
- Bass can bloom under bass heavy recordings, but most stuff (I use 320 MP3s and FLAC) comes in solid, controlled and very present - you can control the amount of bass in the Betas by how deeply you push them in to your ear canals (the Comply tips make this easy to do);
- Mids are the high point of the Betas - clear, distinctive, and up two weight classes from their price point, definitely not a "V" shaped sonic signature, clearly the standout characteristic here.
- Highs are soft, but someone else mentioned "they don't try to be what they are not", they roll off smoothly and inoffensive at the top. Well recorded material still provides sharpness in strings, snare and brass, but no sparkle, just clarity until they vanish. It's where the Betas run out of gas, but they don't leave you stranded.

I've been on the prowl for some cheap-ish IE headphones as my Skullcandy's hurt my ears something fierce. Under the guidance of a few online guides, I decided to drop my cash on these and I'm so glad I did! The sound that comes from these is incredible and the in-line mic helps for when I'm boarding around and don't want to unplug my phones just to talk to someone for 30 seconds. The foam cushions felt the most comfortable but were, alas, too large for my ears so I had to use the small rubber covers instead. Awesome set of headphones and definitely worth the price!

These are probably the cheapest headphones I've purchased. I am by no means an audiophile though, I compared this model to: Beats Tour and LG Quad Beat 1 & 2.
I would rank them in this order:
1. LG Quad Beat 2
2. Beta Brainwavz
3. QB 1
4. Beats Tours

Pros:
+SQ is surprising for the low price, definitely blow away my beats that sounded dull
+Bass, after tuning my EQ the bass seemed stronger
+Price, these are very cheap
+FOAM ear covers, the foam is the best material I've used on any headphone

Cons:
-Wire is thin
-Mic, quality is meh
