Product Description

The Brainwavz Peridot is a stylish headphone stand that will look good in a home or office setting. The stand can accommodate large or small cup size headphones and wide or narrow headphone bands.

The Peridot uses 8mm thick plastic giving it a solid and sturdy feel, adding to this is the laser etched Brainwavz logo. All Brainwavz Peridot stands are hand crafted, as such there maybe slight variations between stands but do not affect the look of the stand.

Looks great, feels very well made.

Stand is stable and well shaped that is does not stretch out the band of the headphones.
Nick
It holds both my Stax Lambda headphones and my Sennheiser HD-800 perfectly.

These are obviously modeled after the much more expensive wooden headphone stands, and for that, they do very well for themselves. The build quality is way sturdier than I imagined, and it's very thick. The headphone stand is well-balanced.

My biggest issue is with the fact that it's really ugly. It's a magnet for fingerprints, wasn't exactly clean when I took it out of the box, and the Brainwavz branding is a little obnoxious, especially considering the HM5 is really the only headphone they sell that proportionally fits on a stand like this.

The lettering is huge. I am having a friend of mind make a fleece sleeve to go over it so it's a little less "out there." But it's a very functional stand. I use it with my Hifiman HE-400 headphones and it works great with the band not extended. Sits on top of my desk.

The brand name embossed on the stand is a matter of preference. If you want it on your stand, it is there. Why other reviewers are shocked by it is surprising because it is clear from the pictures and description that the name is on the clear stand.

Brainwavz makes a great product and my son thinks it is cool that the name is up there. They're known for not being mainstream and rather serve a niche market of audiophiles. I guess he thinks that makes a statement about him. It is a bit esoteric and that's what he wants.

I made a quick video so you can see the size and maybe a better view of what you're getting. This is a great price for a headphone stand of this quality.

Headphones have always been popular, but lately they have been in-style with the release of the "Beats" brand. The problem with headphones is that they are usually very large and take up enormous amounts of space. Fortunately, Brainwavz has made the Brainwavz Peridot Headphone Stand for all headphone sizes to solve this dilemma.

Inside the package is the headphone stand, without any user guides or instructions on how to use the headphones. Although this is a con, it doesn't require a rocket scientist how to place my headphones around this stand.

The stand isn't very large (4.5 x 4.5 x 10 inches) and is very light (1.8 pounds). The material of the stand is made of a thick 8mm plastic, which is a great futuristic design. The stand is completely clear, except for the white lettering of "Brainwavz" which is 2 inches tall and spans around more than half of the headphone stand. Although other people considered this obnoxious branding, I felt that the branding was just right on these. The unique design of the headphone stand is a large statement; any smaller of the branding wouldn't do justice to the stand. In any case, the stand would usually be covered by headphones anyway, and wouldn't be seen unless someone looks at the headphone stand from an aerial view.

I was able to fit my Brainwavz HM9 headphones over this stand without any issues. I like that this stand can fit any set of headphones, but I do not like that this is a fingerprint magnet, as I will have to clean this headphone stand more often than I would like to. The design of this headphone holder is very unique, as it is in the shape of an alien head, instead of the shape of a banana holder or clothesline rack, and is hand crafted, which means that each stand is one-of-a-kind.

there's nothing special to say about this thing. other than that it's as beautiful as it is functional. i like how the apex isn't sharp, so it doesn't wear out the headphone band cushion on top. i think it'll be really neat if you can plug in an LED light and project the light from the bottom to the top vertically.

The Brainwavz Peridot Headphone Stand is a perfect fit for my Brainwavz HM9 Headphones. The headphone stand is made of acrylc, plexiglass, material, and it is lightweight and see through. The headphone stand is 10 inches high, the shape is a curved round, like the curve of a head. Perfect for a headphone stand.

The headphone stand has the name Brainwavz engraved on it, fine, no problem for me. Unless I am using the headphones, they will be placed on the headphone stand, and this name engraving is great PR for the company. I doubt that fingerprints on the stand will bother me. I have placed my stand next to my Bose radio/stereo, which I use for my CD and listening pleasure. I find the headstand such a convenience for me. The Brainwavz headphones I use have a zippered container, but I have my headphones all set for my use and the fit of my head. Leaving the headphones on my stand is okay, but this headphone stand is convenient, attractive and stays put.

The headphone stand came well packaged and encased in a plastic cover. No directions, but really, they are self explanatory. I would assume using soap and water or a glass cleaner is all you would need to clean the headphone stand. A product sample was provided for review purposes.
