These are great brake cables, they're 1 cable and housing per package. The cable has a barrel connector on one end and a plug connector on the other end. And these cables are just as smooth as you could want.

These cables and covers are very reasonably priced. Much cheaper than my local Bike Shop (same cables). Delivery was very quick for "standard shipping". Just make sure you are cutting off the correct end.I cut the cover down to the correct length with a thin drill mounted metal cutting blade.I would recommend the crimp-on tips for the cut end of the cable.You will want to install them after the cable is installed and excess cable has been cut-off.

Just looking to replace some brake cables and/or housing on your bike. This is exactly what you need. Now I know it's not compressionless housing so you might feel a bit of flex when you really hammer down on them, but if you're not riding off road that is not going to matter. This set is perfect for replacing one line; you will need to get two for both brakes. And there is enough housing and cable for any bike. I think it's almost 5 and a half feet of it so you won't run out.

Granted it's not the highest quality stuff, but I don't think it will need replacing for a few years, and at this price who could complain. Install it and forget it.

I have a ten speed bike and I changed out the handle bars for a more upright sitting postion. The Brake cable on the left side was way to short for the transition so I purchased a brake cable. This cable came in handy for the height of the handle bars that I got. I did have to shorten the cable, but that wasn't very hard to do. Now I have a more relaxed sitting postion on my bike and the brakes and gears work fine.

I built a custom bike and installed hand brakes where there weren't any before. I don't know if there are any differences between brands of brake cables. The price of these cables was so affordable and I thought I should just see if they would fit the need. They worked perfectly for my project. They were easy to modify to fit my bike (they need to be cut to fit most bikes) and easy to install. They work well. We'll just have to see if they last over time. But for now, they were the right part for the job.

Looks like they will be just what I need. I.m hoping to restore my high school bike.

So far so good. Give them a lot of use in wet Portland weather and still braking smooth. I'd buy em again at $10, steal at $2. Try em out.

The front brake cable on my bike needed to be replaced so I bought these. I brought my bike to the shop and they replaced the brake cable and adjusted the brakes and now my front brakes are really responsive. I am not a bike enthusiast by any means so I don't know if these are "good" compared to other (more expensive) bike cables. All I know is that they work and I am happy with my purchase.

I wanted to replace the brake cables on my Fuji AX-360 26" MTB. As you can see, it appears as though there are 4 cables, but the description did not mention this at the time of my purchase. Nonetheless, in addition to receiving a new front and rear brake cable, the package also included a new front and rear shifter cable, approximately 8 housing ends and around 6 cable ferrule caps. Installation of all cables was time consuming, but successful. Great cables; well built; worth the coin!

After using some old cables these work like a hot knife trough butter. Built solid and seem like they should last a long time.
