Product Description

Branch Basics has proved nothing short of a blessing to its growing fan base, made up of mostly mamas who are mystified by this soap's ability to degrease and sanitize, yet be safe enough to spritz on pacifiers, produce and hands. Because Branch Basics streamlines the cleaning process (and works!), it's no surprise we're deluged with testimonials: 'Red stain out of white carpet!' 'Removed last night's lasagna!' 'Healed my son's eczema!' 'My husband's sunburn literally disappeared!' 'Amazing jewelry cleaner!' 'It's so safe my kids can help clean!' 'This is the ONLY product we use!'...the list goes on. THE BASICS Branch Basics is a powerful, organic solvent made from the fatty acids of edible and seed-bearing plants. From household use and personal hygiene to commercial and industrial applications, this one formula cleans just about anything washable. Its powerful enzymatic action makes it tough enough to dissolve hard engine grease, while its 100% food-grade, non-toxic ingredients are safe enough to bathe a baby. We are continually blown away by its range of uses and encourage people to 'never put it in a box!'INGREDIENTS Purified water, fatty aids, coconut oil, organic alcohol*, folic acid, minerals and enzymes derived from edible and seed-bearing plants *Evaporated out during manufacturing DIRECTIONSSimply pour Branch Basics Concentrate to the appropriate fill line, clearly marked on our 32 oz Spray Bottle. Fill the rest with water, label the bottle (ex: 'window & glass', 'bathroom', 'all-purpose') and start spraying! The go-to ratio is 1:5 (1 part concentrate, 5 parts water), but most of your cleaning needs can be conquered with more water. For laundry, use 1 T per medium load. For front loader, mix with 1/4 - 1 c water before adding to dispenser. Spot treat with 1:5 if needed. Add up to 1 c baking soda for softness. Works in HE machines and in all temperatures. Can be used for cloth diapers. For a user guide, see www.branchbasics.com.

This cleaner works really well and it makes cleaning so much easier.

NO smell, NO toxic smelly clouds of cleaner to necessitate breath holding or coughing to clean.

It's scent free and I've loved making my own versions of soaps by adding essential oils.

I bought a quart of this as a trial run. I'd been wanting to get out of using cleaners that increase toxicity in the body. I still wanted something that worked well and killed germs, bacteria, and viruses. The natural, green products I tried before this either had ingredients that were questionable (based on EWG's website), were too "smelly", or just plain old didn't work very well on grease, grime, slime, and the like.

I LOVE how it cleans almost everything. Plus, I usually use it at the 5:1 water to Branch Basics ratio, so it's really more like paying for 192 oz. of cleaner!

I purchased 1 - 32 oz. bottle about 6 months ago and have used it pretty much exclusively for countertops, walls, doors, bathrooms, sinks (it's awesome on stainless anything, too). It almost seems to melt dirt away!! I was amazed at how it transformed my cupboards and doors, and I tested it beside other natural cleaners (straight vinegar being one of them). I also tested it next to my own elbow grease and abrasive brushes. It cleans amazingly well.

Next purchase for me will probably be (at least!) the gallon size. I've read you can also use it as a laundry detergent and stain remover and even to kill lice. I've used it some on stains, but I think it needs a higher concentration for clothing stains than what I've been using. It works with small loads of dishes as well, although I still prefer Sal's Suds since BB doesn't get very sudsy.

It has little to no scent, which I love. I recommend this product highly, it's worth the (seeming) investment!

With two small children and an admitted laziness about always using cabinet locks, it is important to me to find cleaning products that are less toxic and more green. Our current household cleaners are mostly Seventh Generation and Method brand, both of which one associates with healthy/non-toxic/natural cleaning. Unfortunately when I checked out our cleaning products in the EWG Guide to Healthy Cleaning, I was shocked to find that most of our Method products had a D or an F rating, with Seventh Generation being not much better (a notable exception is Seventh Generation Natural Toilet Bowl Cleaner). I started searching for alternatives and read about Branch Basics.

I ordered the 32 oz concentrate along with the sprayer bottle and foaming pump bottle. As soon as it arrived, I mixed up a 5:1 ratio all-purpose cleaner in the sprayer bottle and the suggested 3:1 ratio in the foaming pump.

I've been pleasantly surprised at how well the 5:1 spray works, cutting grease and grime well without leaving streaks. I've successfully cleaned walls, countertops, baseboards, high chair trays, toys, light switches, faucets, and toilet seats using Branch Basics and both microfiber cleaning cloths and paper towel. The 5:1 will streak on mirrors and glass, but the manufacturer recommends a much more dilute solution for that purpose and we haven't tried it yet. It foams up reasonably well in the pump and we've used it for washing hands and for bathing the kids/washing faces.

I feel comfortable using this cleaner around the kids; our older daughter has mild asthma and the baby has eczema and this cleaner has nothing in it that will exacerbate those issues, and that if one of them was to somehow take a swig it's also non-toxic.

I thought all of my cleaners were safe and natural---until I found out about Branch Basics and researched each and every one of my cleaners and soaps at EWG. None of them hold a candle to this stuff! NO smell, NO toxic smelly clouds of cleaner to necessitate breath holding or coughing to clean. I use this in the shower as a face wash, body wash and hair wash. In the kitchen as an all purpose cleaner and mixed with lavender Dr. Bronners for dish soap. I use it as a laundry soap, and floor cleaner----and use the 1:5 mix for every other cleaning job in the house!! Even sprayed it on a spider on the wall that died within minutes. I tried the 1:5 mix on a stain on a carpet that I had tried repeatedly over the years to get rid of----sprayed and dabbed the Branch Basics and the stain was and still is GONE! This stuff is truly safe, truly amazing and none of the many testimonials I read at their website are exaggerated. I love the simplicity of ONE soap for all tasks in the house and the lack of toxic scents or clouds means I can add my own safe essential oils for cleaning or personal care.

I love this soap! So far I have mixed the 1/5 ratio for a multi purpose cleanser and a 1/8 ratio for streak free cleaning of windows and mirrors. It works great!! No toxic chemicals, no residue left to rinse off and I can use it for a variety of things. So far I have used it to clean the kitchen and bathroom and had excellent results. It is unscented so I added some lavender essential oil to the multi purpose cleanser...love it!

After discovering that my child was having an allergic reaction to our detergent (even the detergents that were supposed to be SAFE were causing her to breakout), I felt I needed to find another way to clean her clothes. The first thing I tried was Soap Nuts, which are also sold here on Amazon. Many people who have problems with Eczema use those. After using those for about 3 months, I decided I needed to find something a little more user friendly. This concentrate soap is definitely the answer I was looking for! I've been using it for a couple of months. I'm pleased with how well it cleans stains. It's no miracle worker by any means, but there have been a few times when my child spilled cherry soda on her white t-shirt. I did the best I could trying to get the stain out by using soap to scrub on it. I wasn't able to get the stain completely out prior to washing it, but amazingly, the stains were gone after putting it through the wash. I haven't tried using this as a household cleaner, but I plan to after I purchase the gallon container of it.
