A waste of time and money. Maybe if you kept it on your desk and were veeeerrrryyy careful not to touch the switch, the battery might not be dead when you need it, but I either toss it in with my other pens or in my brief case so I've never been able to use it without installing fresh batteries on the day I needed it.
