Bringing New Life to An Old Vibe,
By Grebok SOD (Beyond the Universe) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Brand New Disease (Audio CD)
Vale & Co. have outdone themselves with their sophmore effort. The Sex Album had a good gimmick, but it left you wondering if they could do it again without the tricks and whistles that got them on the map (albeit good ones).
Have no fear, here they've created something far and away superior to their first effort. Technically, musically, and in overall mood, this album has what you're looking for. It has just a taste of the old sounds you don't hear so much these days like a young Siouxie Sioux or Johnette Napolitano; but still brings something new and distinct to it that makes it all Vale. Don't miss this album.

I really like this album and it's quite playable all the way through.
If you like Portishead or Aimee Mann (Til Tuesday) you'll like this. It's exactly like a darker Aimee Mann.. Probably you won't hear it on the radio. Jessica Vale is NYC alternative. I like goth rock, darkwave and goth metal so I like it.

I've been waiting for the new one and it was worth the wait. Jessica Vale never disappoints. It only gets better and better.

And you thought "The Sex Album" was sexy...,

Brand New Disease has even more hip-grinding hotness than the last album, if that's even possible. Jessica, Ivan and Co. have totally transcended themselves! BUY IT. Dance your arse off. It's bloody brilliant.
