2 Brand New Replacement Batteries for Canon PowerShot SX200 IS

These Batteries are sold at an excellent price. (ya get what ya pay for) They do everything that an OEM Canon battery would do except last as long. Alas, on our trip to Hawaii, I found that out the hard way. Out on a Zodiak, exploring the Napali coast line, I was able to get 14 photos and 9 min of video. You guessed it, DEAD battery. The battery was fully charged that morning and so without a care, I didn't take a backup. First time "shame on me". Fate I guess. The battery has worked fine before and since but I have noted that extras like using the flash or video really eat this battery up fast whereas the OEM battery that came with the camera lasts much longer under the same circumstances. So, Lesson learned, always take backup batteries. Even when using OEM batteries, take a back up or two. Which these would be great for.

On December 27, 2011 I posted the following 3 star review:
"Thought I ordered in time to have spare batteries to shoot kid's team's tournament games, but shipping date keeps getting pushed back, so after 17 days; still no batteries. Tourney starts tomorrow, so if they don't magically show up today (despite still showing "shipping w/in 2 days"), other arrangements for backup batteries will have to be made. Can't rate what hasn't been received. :-("

On Friday the 13th of January 2012, the batteries *finally* showed up, over a month after ordering them.
Upping the stars to 4, but haven't had a chance to charge 'em up and use 'em yet.
Original order was through United Integral, but notice now that seller is listed as Blue Mall.

I mean what can I say??? These batteries works perfectly with my Canon PowerShot SX230 HS I just bought. They came already with a full charge and are delivering the right level of current they promise on the spec (1400mAh). No problem whatsoever even with the original Canon charger or another one I already had. They get catged very quickly. But I tell the PowerShot 230 is a power sucker especially with HD videos so I'm really happy to have bought this package that contains 4 batteries for a great price.

After about a month now, the 2 I bought certainly don't hold up to the Cannon battery that came with my SX230. That camera eats batteries like candy and I guess these are M&Ms. They just don't hold up. After a few days of casual pictures here and there and a little video, they're drained. Oh well. I'll probably swing for a name brand once I get sick of them. Even though these are rated higher, they certainly don't hold as near a charge as the Cannon. What do you expect for $6? Not even worth the trouble to try to return them when they technically "work".

So far it works just as well (time to charge & battery life) as the battery that came with the camera and at a fraction of the price.

Bought this as a backup for my camara. I can't tell the difference between this and the original camara battery.

After I got them in the mail, I charged these batteries using the same charger that came with my Canon Powershot SX210 IS. These batteries have lasted two 1hr15min lectures where I took 50+pictures no flash, and 10minutes of video. They both still had full charge. From what I can see there is no difference between these batteries and the cannon issue, aside from the reduced price. Both the Canon and these batteries will not last past an hour if you are taking flash photography, the flash consumes far to much juice from these small batteries.
If you are going to be using the flash repetitively on a trip or an outing then bring at least 2 batteries.

I am impressed with the overall usefulness of these batteries. Out of the box they lasted a very short time but, after a charge they worked very well. I was able to take 4-5 days worth of pictures on one charge and it still had some juice left when I replaced it with the second one. I would buy these again! The price just lends itself to a smart decision.

I bought 2 batteries as replacements for my Canon Powershot SD870IS. They work well and showed good power capacity and are also easy to carry. What's more important is that they are cheap! I use them for quick replacement so I don't use them as the main power source. Now I won't miss shooting any beautiful scenes when the originally equipped battery goes dead. So far I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

These fit and work great. It is a great thing to have extra batteries for this camera, considering it drains a battery in less than 5 hours of uncontinuous use.
