Best Rap of 2009,
By Texas Rebel (Waxahachie,TX USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Brand You Can Trust (Audio CD)
I will keep this short and sweet. If you like rap music, but are tired of all the candy, bubble gum, dance invoking, childish hip hop, then this is the rap album for you. These guys are all vets of the rap game (House of Pain, Non Phixion), and they keep it hardcore, grimy, gutter, and lyrical. The core members are ILL Bill (Non-Phixion),Everlast(House of Pain,Grammy winning solo artist),and Slaine(Special Teamz). So get the damn CD, you wont be disappointed.

If your like me and tired of mainstream hip hop, rest assure this album puts that to rest. With 3 of the members being from the early 90s hip hop group House of Pain, along with Ill Bill, and Slaine, each member brings something new to the table on this album, making the album what it is. Its definitely worth a listen in my book...

Best rap I've gotten in a few years.,

Ok, so I don't buy a ton of rap or hip-hop, but this is my style. Like most, I was drawn to this for the House Of Pain reunion, +2. The sound is in there, but I'd never call this the fourth HOP album, nor was it intended to be I'm sure. It sounds more like Everlasts last few discs, with guests. That's not a knock, I love E. The track with Snoop is cool, The Stain sounds like an Eat At Whitey's track. I'd call half this real good, the other half decent. Nothing do I skip over. It's missing the appeal of the three HOP albums, whatever that was, but some of these tracks might still get ya jumpin'....around.
