ron carter is so convinced of his own genius that he believes that hiring an orchestra to play bach while he noodles around without giving a thought to intonation, phrasing, or any sense of musicality somehow constitutes art.

I love the Brandenburgs and thought this would be interesting. Unfortunately it is not. Jacques Loussier is a good place to start for interpretations of Bach from a jazz perspective. Jacques Loussier Plays Bach
