Bought a pair of these chairs to use at the beach. My chair collapsed within an hour on the first day at the beach while I was sitting in it reading. The mechanism for the recline positions is made of soft and cheap plastic and will not hold for long. I'm 200 lbs. My wife's chair showed signs of the same bent plastics and she's only 110 lbs. I returned them and will buy new ones with metal mechanisms.

this is an excellent product . sturdier than most and very comfortable . i like the back straps for carrying purposes . would be nicer if it would recline fully ..

Love this beach chair! It is light, portable, useful and colorful. It's so comfy, it makes your suntanning enjoyable!

this is my second Rio backpack chair. The first lasted 3 summer seasons. Only the back pack strap
broke and could probably be repaired. I still can use the old chair if needed. Great value, holds all
I need for a great day at the beach. Comfortable and lightweight.

I used one of these on my last beach vacation, and I decided to buy one as a gift for my bro. Very comfortable, all the amenities. Best features are the little pillow thing and the fact that it has backpack straps so that you can fold it up and carry it easily without using your hands. It's the little things that matter ...

I am a little shocked to see people saying a 7 lb chair is lightweight. This is a very heavy chair and in no way can be considered lightweight. That being said, I bought two of them and took them to a concert. They were just fine for that application. Most importantly they are the right height for this venue which was less than 12" from the ground on the seat and less than 32" to the top of the back from the chair. I was debating bringing this on a backpacking trip, but have serious questions about it considering how heavy it is. I have a lightweight backpacking chair that is about 1 lb for comparison.

The chair is okay but not what i expected for the price. It does not lay all the way back
at all and its very difficult to carry on your back if you want to.. it holds a small can but nothing else larger. It is light enough to carry but the bag in the back cannot hold very much at all. Personally I would not of ordered it if I had seen how this chair was to begin with.
