We bought this to better measure our kids' feet so we could order shoes online. It only measures teen/adult feet properly though.
Why 5 stars? Well, we found out later that they make a kid's version so while this works great, we messed up and ordered the wrong one. LOL! We're still using it for our own feet though and hey, the kids will grow. We'll need it eventually.

I got the Combination Brannock Device and would highly recommend it. It came shipped promptly, and was nicely packaged. It was brand-spanking new. The Brannock is a great starting point to determine shoe size and to discover the subtle differences in each of your feet concerning length, width, heel to ball measurement, etc. Because I am more aware of these differences, it is easier for me to determine what works for me in a given shoe or boot. It's also great because one can measure sizes for both men and women with this device. You can even use it for purposes of helping out your friends, relatives, and dates(!) (should you be so inclined) ;-). It's well constructed, looks like the metal will last a lifetime (more likely the imprinted shoe sizes will fade before the metal goes). Since I believe this is similar in price to the Men's or Women's it pays to get the Combo Device. This is a great purchase and would also make a unique gift.
