As a 14 year old, I use to play this recording on my player so much, I went through two records. Decades had passed since I last heard Sergio Mendez and I was very surprised to see the same cover with the CD. Many know of Mendez'66-'67, few knew of Mendez'65 with Wanda de Sah. Completed and performed after Getz/Gilberto's classic, this clearly stands side-by-side and the sounds is perfect.
Thank you for bringing a part of my younger life, back to me.

Considering the age of this material it's very enjoyable to listen. The first half of the disk is instrumental from Sergio Mendez - well recorded and performed. The 2nd half is Wanda de Sah, a superb vocalist with great sense of timing, diction and phrasing in English & Portuquese. If you like samba & bossa-nova you can't go wrong with this CD.
