Brass coffee mill with hand carved design. Decorative only. Not functional. Brass, which is obtained by amalgamating copper and zinc, is durable, hard, and yet easly workable, which made it a prime metal to use in ship making, jewelry, and accessories. Since it is easily hammered compared to the bronze, it has been used in household utensils and cups, bowls, and pans, and it has also been used decoratively in lighting due to its similarity with gold.

This is an excellent mill! It works smoothly, produces a perfect grind for Turkish style coffee, and looks very nice.

One reviewer totally bashed this mill, but I suspect he just did not know how to use it correctly. This thing grinds the beans quickly (when used properly), and with very little work. Moments after I opened the package, I was brewing a cup of Turkish coffee with freshly ground beans.

what I received looked similar, but different (worse) from what's pictured, and did not work at all, even minimally.
The note on the package said that the item was meant for decoration.
sent it back.

If you want this for hardcore grinding, stick with a machine, because this makes you sweat by the time you grind enough coffee. However, it is a beatiful piece of decoration for my kitchen and it is practical enough for low stress - low quantity grinding.
