This valve is way more solid than I'd expect for $7.50. It's fairly heavy and operates smoothly. Unlike others, mine shut the water flow off completely. I got one and liked it, so I got them for the other showers in the house. If you're looking for a good shower flow control valve, look no further.

This shutoff arrived very quickly and works perfectly. Highly recommend it. It completely turns the water off just like I wanted.

I combined this with Oxygenic's FANTASTIC shower head (Oxygenics Body Spa Handheld Shower Kit, Brushed Nickel) and a riser pipe (Shower Arm S Style Chrome). I used this valve to replace the twist valve that came with the shower head (now it's a 1-handed control instead of 2-handed). So for less than $60, I have as good a shower setup as anyone could ever want: power without pain, effectiveness, LOW water usage, great massage for sore muscles and joints, soothing roar, and total adjustability with no more bending over. I'm loving it!

I used to have a button on my shower head to turn off the water while I put conditioner and other things and would keep the temp. It is a great feature. I change my shower head, but wanted and missed the shut off button. I gave this 2 stars because it was better than nothing, but not even close to other one. I had to re buy this item. Maybe it should have one star only. I found one here and was more careful when reading the reviews. It is also a button style and works SOOO much better! Just like my old shower head!

This product is inexpensive, good quality and easy to install. It works perfectly once installed to allow different people the ability to adjust the rate of flow to their personal preference.

I needed to control the volume of water coming out of showerhead. This saves water and also allows one to adjust the force of the water. It is simple to install( attach to pipe coming out of wall and then attach showerhead to control valve). One can also shut it off to a drip while one soaps up. This is a quality product and works perfectly. I got one to try on one showerhead and then ordered another one to put in my other shower. Very pleased.

High quality, all metal product. Works great for limiting the flow of a water-wasting shower head. Easy to dial in desired flow. As others have noted, not good as a substitute for a regular shut off valve (slow drip).

This valve was exactly what I was looking for. I previously purchased a similar plastic valve for half the cost but it fell apart the first time I used it. I am sure this one will last a lifetime. This valve is easy to install, no tools required. It works great and it does not leak. I would recommend it to anyone interested in conserving their water usage.

Frankly, it POs me when the 6 plumbing supply companies in my area tell me these are no longer made. I really do try to shop local, but this is what pushes us to the internet. Exactly what I needed, price was reasonable (even when shipping was added in) and it arrived as promised.

I felt like there were times I was being wasteful with water flow while I was in the shower so I wanted to conserve where I could. I have one shower knob and as I turn it more and more to the left it heats up and increases the water pressure. I can't turn down the pressure and flow without changing the temperature to cold, cold, cold. I was hoping the brass flow control valve would keep the temperature I had it currently set at, but decrease the flow, or stop it completely until I'm ready to rinse off. I love that it will stop the flow, but discovered that when I shut the valve off completely and turn it back on when I'm ready, it shoots scalding water for a second and then extremely cold water for several seconds until it gets to the temperature I originally set it at. I thought the purpose for it was void if I had to wait as water was wasted until the correct temperature came back. I discovered that if I just slow the flow enough to where just a small stream of water is coming out at a warm temperature, that I don't have those extreme hot or cold moments, and I am still conserving water. I don't know if this is problematic with the dual hot and cold shower knobs. This valve is durable and fit perfectly on my hand held shower head. I am able to conserve water for a great price. I highly recommend this product.
