Wow. I found this CD at a local store (sorry amazon, I didn't know you had it), and the first thing that caught my attention is the cool cover. You can't see it on the web, but the CD comes in a shiny pink metallic-looking cardboard box. Very 80s, which is just fine with me. Then I realized that ALL the songs are from movies like Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, 16 Candles, etc. And the music: Simple Minds, Howard Jones, Spandau Ballet, The Bangles. I was so psyched to see them all on one CD. And there's a cool INXS song that I don't think is on any of their albums. I was really surprised to find a negative review here. Obviously that person doesn't like 80s movies & music. This is one of the best compilations I've ever gotten, and it looks really cool in my collection. Buy it. You won't be disappointed.

This CD is such a great rememberance of an era! It brings me back to the 80's - a decade I remember so fondly - my favorite movies, fashions, hair styles and songs. When I first put it on I felt like I was in college again and the liner notes/booklet gave me such a chuckle and reminded me of so many crazy good times. A great collection of songs and a wealth of material in the booklet....When can I get volume 2?

As one more 80's junkie,... This album is a wonderful compilation with a great package that is very reminicent of what I remember the 80's to be like. It's garish? Well....duh! That WAS the 80's! The music selection is a great line up that you'll never tire of hearing. Yeah, they could have put one or two songs on here instead of this one or that one but it's just a compilation. It's not a definitive be all, end all of 80's soundtrack music. You just gotta enjoy it for the great music that it is!

It would have been very cool to have all 12" versions of these tracks,considering most are available on numerous compilations. But for collectors, the main reason to single this out as a must have is for the FULL six minute and 29 second version of Spandau Ballet's True. This is very hard to find on CD, but here it is!

By far, the best 80s package in my collection. The packaging blew me away with it's reflective casing. The inside foldout has a lot of interesting facts and even a 25 question quiz on the Brat Pack films, actors and music. The music is to die for and being able to listen to all of these hits on one CD made me feel like I was in school again. I'll always love the music from those Brat Pack films and now I can play all of them in my car. It's a great concept and I'm really glad they came up with it. I love it to death.

This is a cool 80's collection. Some of the selections are obvious and some are not, but it will take you back in time for sure. The Amazon reviewer seems to have a beef with the song selection... ummm... it's a compilation... obviously if you don't like these songs don't buy this cd. But the packaging and overall sound is top notch.

Take it from a Music Junkie and 80's Video junkie, this is a great compilation. Yeah, I like the Plimsouls better than Modern English(sorry ZF) and each movie may have had another great 80's song, but if you love 80's music and 80's movies, this CD will bring a smile to your face. hey KZ, hey JM

Rehashed overplayed crud. You don't have to buy this cd, just listen to any alternacrap radio station's so-called 80's lunchbox. These are on the playlist every damn day.
