I think they forgot to proofread this edition, November 5, 2006
This review is from: Bratbusters - Say Goodbye to Tandrums and Disobedience (Paperback)
This book was highly recommended by a friend whose opinion I trust. She read it 13 years ago and found excellent tips for dealing with temper tantrums and developing a good rapport with her son (then age 3) before problems developed. I'd say they were successful since he has grown into a wonderful young man who does have a great relationship with his mom.
HOWEVER, this is not the same edition, and it's not published by the same company.
This book is so full of spelling errors and sentences that start but do not finish, I found it very difficult to take any of the advice seriously. To be honest, it looks more like a college freshman's rough draft of a term paper than anything written by someone with a PhD. The arguments are circular and repetitive and the examples are so extreme, you'd find it hard to apply any of them to your own situation.
There might be some "gems" in here (don't respond to a tantrum if you want it to end quickly), but if you haven't figured them out yet on your own, you need something other than this book.
SKIP IT.
