Ah, finally a setting that shows the Lil' Bratz in their native habitat: the mall. This all-inclusive play set lays out the total "mall" experience, in intricate detail. It's an undiscovered universe for those who aren't old enough yet to handle the real thing. It's certainly cheaper. Even if your kid has already been baptized at the perfume counter and stuffed at the food court, they'll appreciate the set's effort at authenticity. "Mall music" coming from the record shop/magazine store has tiny CDs the dolls can listen to with thimble-sized headsets. There's also a movie theater, cosmetics and clothes boutique, and tons of detailed accessories and features, including a working escalator. Required: 2 "C" batteries for the escalator, and 3 "LR44" batteries for the music store. --Diane Beall

I got this for my daughter's 9th birthday last month and am disapointed. She says she likes it but I never see her play with it. There are so many small pieces and unless you have a place to leave it set up, it takes so much time to set up each time you want to play. It also doesn't stay together very well, it can be knocked over very easily due to the fact that the different stores can be rearranged in the way the child wants. I was also under the "impression" the music store played various songs from the music player but each of the four buttons you push plays the same 10 second "song", not to mention the fact that I spent $12.00 just for the batteries for the little music machine.I will not buy any more bratz accessories. only the dolls.

I bought this for my daughter for her 7th birthday because she is a big BRATZ fanatic. Luckily I hit a good clearance sale at Target and snagged it for $16.00. If I had paid full price or even half of retail for this it would have went back to the store. Some of the items require button cell batteries - which do not come with it and will cost you an extra $10-$20. You also have to add C batteries to it. The escalator doesn't stop once it gets to the top it just keeps clicking. The items fall off the shelves continually and this frustrates my daughter so I told her to put them away and just pretend. The stores are very small and will only fit two dolls. The signs that go on the back of the store are a pain to get on and one won't go on at all. My daughter played with this for about an hour on her birthday and I don't think she's touched it since. She has asked for more stores to go with it for Christmas (I lucked out and got two for $5.00 each at the same sale) so she will get them but not because I think this is worth paying for. My advice is to save your money and purchase something else. I had contacted MGA about this (as I did last year with the FM limo) but could not get any resolution. They simply told me to return it to the store.

My daughters birthday party was at the beggining of July. we bought this mall playset for her including the extra stores you have to buy seperatly. Its made very well. She loves it!! There has not been one day she hasent played with it!! Her friend bought her the fashion Polly mall and she HATES it soo much. The clay you make the purses and food out of is HORRIBLE! We threw it away and replaced it with Lil' Bratz dolls. Buy this toy. It is SOOOO much fun!!
