Braun 4184-624 Adapter w/ Gasket

Gaskets cost little (You can get 3 of them for $1 for an Osterizer) but Braun makes you buy the adapter which probably never breaks in order to get the gasket.

At the rate I'm going through gaskets I'd like to get several. This will be my third. But, the marketing together with the adapter is a waste and, I believe, a ripoff.

Since all I needed was the rubber ring (gasket), (which probably costs 25cents), I was very disappointed to have to buy the adapter with it for about $10 for both with the postage. I threw the adapter in the drawer - I'll probably need a gasket sooner than the adapter and used the replacement gasket. I hope the gasket lasts longer than the original, which lasted a year.

I'd previously gone through the Braun website trying to get a replacement adapter. My darling dropped the jug (the wonderful thick glass did NOT break or crack) and the adapter was the sole casualty. Braun didn't have the part for sale. I have to tell you, though, in an emergency sauce situation, plumber's and electrical tape worked wonders! It just looks a bit too ghetto and I needed to replace the adapter. Thank you, Amazon!!
