Braun Silk-Epil Pre-Epilation Wipes

These wipes don't make a difference. You really can use a bit of lotion to make sure that the epilator does not tuck skin. Do not recommend.

These came included with the Braun Silk Epil Expressive and I couldn't wait to use them. They make no difference at all in the pain level or even smoothing my legs. Any lotion afterwards can do the same trick. A waste of money.

These wipes are OK. They aren't a "must have" when it comes to epilation. I find that I do not notice a difference between when I have used the wipes before epilating and when I have forgotten to use them.

I can't say enough about this product-except that I wish I could find it in local stores. I simply refuse to epillate my underarms without using these wipes first. Highly recommended. I have not been able to find them anywhere except for on Amazon.

The wipes are really helpful with my underarms especially. Without the wipes (even right out of the shower when my skin is supple) the epillator tends to pull my skin a bit, which hurts. If I use the wipes then the epillator glides over my skin smoothly while still pulling the hair out. When I run out of the wipes I can't stand using the epillator on my bare skin so I use a little bit of lotion. Lotion works ok, but not as well and I don't exactly like putting lotion on my underarms for fear of clogging the pores. The wipes have not clogged my pores thus far.

I like to use them on my legs before I epillate as well, although if I don't use them it doesn't hurt as much as my underarms because it doesn't pull the skin as much (I dont know why-I guess my leg skin is more taut than my underarm skin).

I've spent years waxing, only to end up with rashes and in-grown hairs. I got none of that with this product from the very first time I used it. I first added the massage roller attachment, but found it didn't really get close enough to the base of the hair. After switching to the basic epilator head, everything came out smooth with little irritation. If you've never waxed or epilated before, you might want to use numbing cream the first few times. It wasn't nearly as uncomfortable as waxing, and did both legs and bikini area at once.

I don't understand how these things work, but they do. They have a nice fresh scent, and they have a lotion-y feel, although my skin doesn't feel sticky after using them. These wipes somehow help the hair on my legs stand up and my skin feel smooth and dry so the epilator moves across my skin much easier while grabbing the hair easier. I thought they were a little pricey before I bought them, but no more. They're worth every penny. They're magic.

My husband bought me an epilator as a gift and it came with these wipes. When they ran out, I tried to find them at my local Target, Wal-mart & CVS-- but no one carried the wipes(although Target does carry the epilator that comes with a sample pack). Meanwhile, I tried using the epilator without the wipes and, for me, there was a big difference- so I didn't even continue on with it. I got on-line and ordered them through Amazon.com and although I don't remember exactly how long it took them to arrive, it was pretty fast. The only downside is having to leave the wipe in one place for 30sec., then another area for 30sec, and so on. If there's a product out there that I can just wipe on, everywhere all at once- like a lotion, and wait 30sec. --once-- now that would be very helpful. Epilating takes too long to do, but it really does last so much longer- so, you decide.

My Braun epilator works so much better when I use the wipes. My skin isn't quite so sore after.
