Despite Amazons advertisement that this carafe is often purchased with Braun coffee maker KF590. It does NOT fit and does not work with it. Amazon needs to correct this since it is misleading and cost me 2 unnecessary shipping charges.

This is a satisfactory product. It keeps coffee hot and good tasting for at least an hour. Like many other automatic coffemaker carafes, it is difficult to clean because the top opening is so small. The channel in the lid through which coffee flows from the filter into the carafe can't be cleaned at all.

The Braun Coffeemaker Metal Thermo Jar will keep your coffee and tea hot for hours. It is very nice looking and is the best I ever had. The coffeemaker that this pot used to belong with (now discontinued) produces the hottest coffee around.

I have owned a Braun KF600 coffee maker (which includes this carafe) for years. It keeps my coffee warm for at least 4 hours and usually up to 6 hours. Because this carafe is designed to keep the coffee hot with thermal insulation rather than by setting it on a heating plate it keeps the coffee quite warm/hot for hours without burning it or making it bitter tasting. I make a few cups in the morning. I drink one right away and another about four hours later and it still taste fresh.

Some of the best features are;
you can pour it one handed. you just push down on the button on the handle and pour. nothing to turn or twist.
The pot does not get hot.
The stainless steel stays new looking for years (it doesn't show stains like glass).
This particular carafe is pretty much dummy proof when brewing. I have read reviews of other brands that say if the pot is not aligned perfectly the coffee brews all over the counter and floor. This design is very forgiving. If the coffee lands about anywhere on top of the lid it will drain into the carafe and not on the counter.
