I've purchased another one of these and it works as well the one I reviewed over a year ago. I noticed that it started taking longer and longer to shave - at least twice as long as it took with new blades. I'm happy to report that time I spend shaving is again much less and still no whisker pulling. I still recommend this foil and cutter.

About 8 months ago I purchased this replacement cutter for my Braun 8585: Braun 8000 Activator Combi-Pack Foil and Cutterblock Replacement Parts for Braun's Activator Razor Models 8595 and 8585. As soon as I replaced the cutter and foil the razor started pulling whiskers when I shaved. It wasn't an every day occurrence, but if I skipped a day of shaving the next time I shaved it would hurt, as the razor pulled whisker after whisker. I also had more nicks too, something that was rare before.

I was thinking about replacing my years-old 8585 when I saw reviews that said this cutterblock and foil will end the whisker pulling. I figured buying this was cheaper than a new razor so I took a chance.

The cutterblock fit just fine in my 8585 and is the same size as the blade I replaced. The foil likewise fits perfectly, though the screen is a different design. The exterior plastic is a different color than my 8585 but I don't care about that...I just want a good shave.

I shaved a two-day's growth without a single pull, for the first time in 8 months. What a relief! The shave was closer too. My old razor cuts like it used to, so I don't need to get a new one.

If your 8000 series razor isn't cutting like it used to, give this a try.

The foil supplied in the package did not fit the Braun 7526 shaver. The foil is too short and does not clip to the shaver. The cutter seems fine. Contacted Braun directly to see if I had ordered the wrong parts. Braun stated that the 30B is the correct pack and shipped a free replacement pack. Received the new 30B foil and cutter pack from Braun. The foil in the new pack was the correct part. Braun customer service was great.

The Braun company are constantly innovating, changing their razors and blades and even introducing the over-the-top "Clean & Charge" system that will scrub down your electric razor and keep it clean and sharp a lot longer. Unfortunately, not all innovations have been for the best, so if you own a Braun electric razor, you should probably check out my notes here and some of the comments that have followed this review.

I've had my Braun 7000 series electric razor for a long time now, and I even have the "Clean & Charge" system that flushes the heads and charges the battery. I love the thing--it helps me not have to shave with a blade every day.

The problem is, these things wear down so gradually it's hard to notice when it gets bad...until you replace it. I try to replace mine every year and a half, and every time I do I'm reminded how much better my Braun works when it's got a new blade and foil.

This is my second Braun and I've had it for 7 years now. My first lasted me 16 years. Although the price can be steep, it's worth the effort to pick one up and remind yourself why you bought an electric razor in the first place.

NOTE: These blades are for my 7000 series, but if you look over the compatibility details (and the alternate listings here at Amazon), you will see that the "30B" series are compatible with other razors, such as the 8585. This is important to know because Braun recently changed their blade and foil system for some series to the "51S"...and are getting customers complaining about having their face chewed off by the bigger-bladed 51S. If you're having problems with your Braun, check the listings here at Amazon to see if your razor is capable of using the 30S head: it has smaller blades, a finer foil design, and in my opinion provides a smoother shave than even the previous iteration of the 30B.

Even thfough these are supposed to be for the 7000 series, I followed the recommendation of others on Amazon and bought these for my 8995. The color of the foil case is black instead of silver, but that is way more than made up with by the performance of these blades. The blades for the 8000 series are thick and uncomfortable, where these are thin and really cut well. I will never go back to the 8000 series blades again, these are the best out there for the 8995! I was thinking about throwing the whole shaver out and buying a different brand because I was so fed up with the quality of the other replacement blades. I am sure glad I tried these out first. I am ordering another set now so I have it in stand-by.

Thanks to other reviewers I decided to give this a try on my 8975 and am getting a better shaves than with the original mfg recommended replacement head. I am new to electric razors and didn't know that hair pulls were not the norm. I now get smoother painfree shaves with this head and it fits my razor perfectly. The only difference is the black color vs chrome and the plastic head protecter fits a little looser but no big deal.

I've owned a Braun 4700 shaver for close to four years and have purchased two of these replacement foil/blade sets. In the past, I've quickly moved from other electric shavers (Norelco) back to conventional blades. Braun's shaver holds up after years of daily use, and the replacement foil/blades work very well. As another reviewer points out, generally the replacements don't seem to hold up as well as what comes with the shaver; however, I've never owned anything as consistent, or anything I'd hold up against a conventional razor with hot water, etc. Not only is the shave quite good, I also feel like I'm getting a great deal when I compare spending $30 every year to year-and-a-half to spending untold dollars on disposal razors or blades. It should also be noted that there are several replacements for the 4700 shaver that have slightly different packaging. This specific one seems more substantial than the last one I purchased.

I read reviews for the 8000 series replacement foil and cutter and it was recommended to use this one instead. I took their advice and they are right, it DOES fit perfectly. My shaver shaves like it's brand new. In fact, it feels like a much smoother and closer shave than the original. The packaging says these are made in Germany. I guess the moral of the story is; if your packaging says it's made in China, send it back!

Also, I bought this at Walmart because I needed it right away. They also had the 8000 series replacements that are now made in Germany (I guess Braun had too many complaints about the junk from China) but they are $15 more. If the 7000 series ones fit why pay more?

This replacement foil and cutter fit my Braun 8585 perfectly. I INSTANTLY noticed a better shave with this replacement and have been kicking myself for not replacing it earlier. Don't believe the one review that says this item won't fit the 8585.

Have had my Braun 7526 electric razor for over 12 years and replacing the Combo Foil & Cutter with the 30B model replacement turns an old razor into a brand new razor everytime I do the replacement - which is about every 12 to 14 months. Easy to remove the old one and install the new one.

I needed replacement blades for my electric razor which is a few years old. It's a great razor and if possible I didn't want to buy a new one. I found these replacement blades on Amazon, they were delivered quick (thanks Prime). I didn't realize how dull my old blades were as these new ones played a number on my face until I could adjust to them.
